Carlton - What do Carlton do with the number 1 pick?

Not really. You've got our 2nd rounder, we've got yours & the dogs, which both look far better than anyone would have imagined at the start of the year
Plus our priority pick kind of replaces the original 2nd rounder we shifted on as part of picks swaps. They shifted back another spot to fit ours in.

Do carlton fans just defend Silvagni because he played for their team?

Nothing to defend when you bring Charlie Curnow, Harry McKay, Zac Fisher, Dow, SPS , Weitering and O'Brien in as fantastic base of youth to launch from after the idiots left an incredible mess to clean up. You would have to be as dumb as dog s**t to not realise that.

Thanks to Cleric and Drewie and Shaz for turning this into an Adelaide v Carlton shitfight.

Its not like we haven't had enough of them over the past 3 years.

Also, its super interesting that all these Adelaide posters are hanging out in a Carlton thread entitled 'what do Carlton do with Pick 1' while constantly denying any SA interest in said pick.

Wonder why that is..

It's mostly due to the embarrassment of getting schooled in the Gibbs deal.

Its because they desperately want Pick 1 to snare Lukosiois.

Apparently telling us were s**t over and over again is supposed fo help somehow.

Who do we want? Or do we just want value?

If GC are taking both King twins then Walsh could slip to 4

Not sure it will be 19 if pps and fa compos come into it. Carlton did extremely well with the trade while the crows blinked 1 year too late

Absolutely, we definitely over paid but he was in contract. Carlton did well.

At this stage it will be at least pushed to pick 22 with Gold Coast probably getting pick 3 for Lynch and then Carlton getting pick 20 for Priority pick and Gold Coast with pick 21 for priority pick. Still some gems to be found around that pick. The only minor point I was making is that it isn’t just as simple as 2 first round picks. Big bonus for Carlton also is our horrible year of injuries. Looks like our second pick back to you will be better than expected.

Carlton definitely come out on top of that trade

Likely pick 22 for them at best.
Gold Coast compo pick for Tom Lynch leaving likely to be pick 3, Carlton & Gold Coast likely to get priority picks at back end of 1st round of draft at 20 and 21. If any free agent compo picks are at back of first round too like happened for Rockliff and Motlop movements previous year then that Crows pick pushed further back into mid 20's.

Carlton are 100% to blame for their situation. Own it and get out of it yourself.

I never said we weren't to blame.

That doesn't detract from the absurdity of your post which missed the mark by a significant distance.

Watch your club petition for one.

And so what if we do?

We have every right to ask the question - the worst the AFL can do is say no.

So tell me how a pick at 19 is going to be the difference for Carlton?

Who has said an extra pick will be "the difference"?

You don't happen to work for the Herald Sun do you?

Was a far better player at Adelaide.

Not true.

Was a star at Carlton and has been a a star at the Crows.

I'd ask you to put forward why he's a "far better" player at the Crows but going by this thread it'd just result in you putting forward more nonsense without a whole lot of substance to back it up.

No, we defend him because under the circumstances he's done a very good job to date.

Unfortunately there are very few opposition supporters who are able or willing to look at what he's done without referencing the ladder or the number of GWS players he's brought across.
