rumour has it, Carlton are launching legal action to get back the priority pick that was taken away from the penalties. If goes ahead, the case will be funded by pratt (so best lawyers in Australia) and will leave carlton (pending no more losses and finishing on four wins) with picks 1 and 2 (kreuzer and cotchin). Cotchin is a quality, as are Brad Ebert, Cale Morton, Rhys Palmer, Cyril Rioli etc..

KPP's to get if we don't get Kreuzer are Lachlan Henderson, David Myers, Tom Collier, Tom Bellchambers, etc..

For the KPP's I only named backman/ruckmen, we don't need to waste an early pick on a forward, ie McEvoy, as we already have Shultz, Hughes, Riewoldt not in the team as developing forwards.

I'm not as up to speed with it all TFLUA, but I've heard there;s question marks over Cotchin. Some people in the know have said Morton has class written all over him and Palmer's performance in the U18 championships was dominant.

Palmer had a brilliant champs, although I'm not going to get too hyped about him, I had him about 15 in my draft list before the Champs, and even though his performance was good, it doesn't elevate him above Cotchin and co.

Besides, I attribute Palmer's dominance to the great delivery he was receiving from Masten and Morton, who I rate as slightly better prospects than Palmer.

Cotchin had a poor champs, but he is a class act and very much still the pick of the midfielders in the draft.

Anyway, as I've said all along, it won't be the No 1, 2 or 3 pick that;s crucial for us. it will be our priority pick at No 17 and our 2nd round pick at 19 or 20 that will be the ballbreakers.

your an idiot if you think you will get those picks back, you CHEATED not the AFL

I highly doubt we will take legal action. We should have at the time though. From what I know the issue wasn't our punishment it was the fact that we were stripped of all 1st and 2nd round draft picks, not PP's. But someone mucked up and they took the PP pick off us anyway in 02. Then in 03 they realised there mistake and gave us our PP which we used to get Walker. We should have been allowed our PP in 02.

Still, I doubt we will do anything about it now.

By the way while I don't rate Palmer as highly as others he has been on fire in the WAFL. Made the best in his last 3 matches.
