It’s definitely worth watching that. It’s obviously heavily edited - no mention that they bid on Blakey before Caldwell! I was surprised how accurately they predicted who those other clubs would pick just before Caldwell.

Remember last year round 1 - we came out and stunned them in the first 10 minutes with 5 goals to zip playing ultra attacking footy.. That showed to me the talent was there but it’s just inexperienced. We have now added 5 high quality players and cleaned out some B graders and with one more pre-season into our talented youth, we could easily come out and shock the tigers next season, especially if they can have that attacking mindset but also be able to balance the defensive side of the game by controllling the tempo when momentum swings. Really excited about next year and haven’t truly felt that way in a LOOOONNGG time. Go Blues!a 6 goals win in round 1 is what I dearly want for Xmas
Particularly interesting when most people on these boards didn't have Chase Jones near Adelaide's pick. It’s definitely worth watching that. Who are you delisting out of that group just as a matter of interest?Crikey and after next year, down to 5 maybe just 4
Wow - the value of having a proper list manager!
That’s more like it6 or maybe 7 more likely
Could also use an exceptionally quick half back imo, I noticed Jayden Hunt lost favour at Melbourne last year not sure why, not defensive enough maybe, anyway would be a good pick up for us next year, right age for us and takes it on which we need, can play multiple possies as well, disposal eff at 72% so not great great but matches up pretty well against Saad who we went after, only real difference is disp eff with Saad at 82% but Hunt wins nearly everything else.Agree with Kelly will not the top priority, but if we’re able to snare an A grade mature bodied midfielder 25 to 27 it woukd truly settle our midfield for a decade.
By 20/21 we’d be unstoppable for quite a while.
Docherty back in will help the defensive balance as he is the real general down there not Simpson which most would assume. Umpires not stealing momentum from us would help to, but based on past experience that is not likely to happen they seem to love stealing Carlton’s momentum with a few well timed and placed free kicks. Really starting to make me wonder about the AFL.Remember last year round 1 - we came out and stunned them in the first 10 minutes with 5 goals to zip playing ultra attacking footy.. His team mate would be even better and is also out of contract next year and has received criticism from within to so might be a tad aggrieved, plus they have to many Jacks so we will take Billing’s and lighten there load of Jacks. Apparently wants more midfield time and Hannebery coming won’t help that equation. Ratten will be his forwards coach next year to, hope he doesn’t hold a grudge.Still could use a small forward Jade Gresham out of contract at the end of 2019 wouldn’t mind having a crack at him if the price was right, he might have a burning desire to play in a premiership side

http://m.afl.com.au/news/2018-11-10/star-saint-in-no-hurry-to-open-contract-talksTo attract a player like Billings, we'll need to show signs of improvement next season.
He has already come out and publicly said he's not in a rush to sign a contract extension. Will be interesting to see what happens throughout the course of the year.
If we want Billings, we probably need St Kilda to have another bad year.
Likely to be 6 left.Who are you delisting out of that group just as a matter of interest?
Likely to be 6 left.
Yep, stuffed up & counted Thomas twice
- Simpson
- Thomas
- Casboult
Yeah if he has another strong year could easily go again, and knowing Simmo he will have a strong year they are the only ones he knows. Will want to keep going for sure wants to play finals again and maybe a GF knowing him.Simpson could go around again. I'm personally in no rush to see Simpson retire. He's still a very valuable player for us.
Can’t think of a more deserving player to win a flag in the modern era. Think he will just miss out on the success thoughYeah if he has another strong year could easily go again, and knowing Simmo he will have a strong year they are the only ones he knows. Good call murphster....when I was looking at potential trades at the start of the trade period, him and Shai Bolton were the two that I was hoping we may have targeted without giving up a lot.Could also use an exceptionally quick half back imo, I noticed Jayden Hunt lost favour at Melbourne last year not sure why, not defensive enough maybe, anyway would be a good pick up for us next year, right age for us and takes it on which we need, can play multiple possies as well, disposal eff at 72% so not great great but matches up pretty well against Saad who we went after, only real difference is disp eff with Saad at 82% but Hunt wins nearly everything else.
Hes had a hard on for Lukosious for most of the year and Rankine could end up being the best player in the draft. Super arrogant though. Walsh is elite, what we need and a model citizen. He may not have the sexy x factor of Rankine or visibility of Lukosious but he is a solid meat and potatoes, hard at it, gut running mid who plays inside and out. You take him pick 1 all day long.

The only player I don’t rate and was surprised got another year was LeboisCarlton web-site have updated the player profiles now to include all players with their allocated numbers, both senior and rookie.
Going through the list, probably the first time for a long time, there are no obvious list cloggers....just a bucket load of talent!!!
What a job SOS and the team have done to build a list like that in such a short period![]()
Actually surprised to read he gave us a pretty good rating for our draft haul.
