Also re. Polson - I'm a big believer in this kid, I think he is our small forward for the future.
Has the guts and the smarts, and is definitely an opportunistic player. Still adapting to the pace of AFL. Will be a very good player if he keeps his workrate up.

Think he can be a player, but not sure he’s most suited to the FP role.

Can play there and may continue to do so as he adapts to the pace, but would like to see him further up the ground.

Interesting isn't, for some reason you single me out, in this latest interaction I have had with a poster, which is the second time you have done it.

Last year if he had used the ball a bit better he would probably have locked down a spot in the 22 for round 1, I think as he gets fitter and more used to the pace his ball use will naturally improve.

Just defies belief. Given our list, where we are, the tightness of the group and McKay's undoubted talent and the fact we have put a lot into him people would happily trade him for an untried 18 year old that has already done a knee.

How would the rest of our young group feel?

Surprise surprise Pickett has come back over weight, has been sent to do extra sessions with the VFL side. Doc & Cripps stamping there authority and expectations re work rate on the side already, good to see.

People are still putting Pickett into their best 22. He's a long way off for mine. If he has come back overweight again, he has 1 season to prove himself or I'd set him loose if it were up to me.

Hate it when players waste their talent, especially when we are united in setting standards.

Not if Albert Proud is still available.

Fasolo and Poison will have to hold the fort up forward. Hopefully there are no crumbs to mop up anyway.

Some pace around half forward would be nice though.

There is an argument to say it improves the argument for Walsh, someone you know is going to bust a gut to make it rather than a big natural talent.

Ball use is fine, not an issue.

Was rushed into his disposal because he hadn’t yet picked up the pace of the game.

The 12 games he got this year will do him a world of good going forward, much like Fisher in 2017 who also wasn’t ready.

I am always surprised teams don't play harder.

I am always surprised teams don't play harder.

Two fairly obvious reasons come to mind. Often the risk reward really isn’t worth it. Secondly clubs have long memories and being pricks about father sons and such doesn’t bode well for when your own club has a couple coming through you’d like to get cheaply.
