The point is "has X stopped growing" is hardly sensitive information that needs to be withheld from the public, especially compared with what else gets released. If they were testing for it across the board I can't see why it wouldn't be released, or at the very least the players themselves would be advised and we wouldn't see the "I don't know" answer constantly.

Also to me it seems it would only be important information for a small percentage of the draft group as, unless I am wrong, it only says if they are still growing not how much they will still grow. I don't think it is really that important to clubs if a 188cm mid might make it to 190cm or if a 200cm forward might get to 204cm. If its worth is limited why blanket test?
Perhaps they release testing data rather than a summary report, and club medical staff make their own interpretations... just a thought?

Anyway I'm done here, you've obviously got no idea how any of this works and I'm not your personal Google.

EDIT: clarified further

You already know my thoughts on Walsh, but that matters little now.

I guess once you assess what SOS has completed this year, breaking down the trades and drafting, the strategy never changes.

Example of this, is Finbar. With a full book of KPF and 3rd tall forwards, McKay, Charlie, Kerr McGovern, TDK (ruck/forward), JSOS, Levi (only a backup now), SOS drafted another KPF. Surely he would have been rated as best available, rather than a need

I'd like to think that Finbar won't be one dimensional.>> maybe even a Gunston / Michael O'Loughlin type .> and not your conventional key position player but much more mobile/ flexible/ pacey .> despite his height

My guess:

[1] Walsh
[2] Rankine
[3] Lukosius
[4] M. King
[5] Rozee
[6] Stocker

Big call by our recruiting team. They appear to have rated Stocker above B. Smith and possibly Caldwell as well.
It's not any type of call. For all you know it might be

1) Walsh
2) Smith
3) Jones
4) Dursma
5) Lukosius
6) Stocker

I like Caldwell a lot as well.

GWS have historically have been poor at injury management and prevention.

If we get Setterfield right I wonder if Caldwell will want to come here in a couple years?
Setterfield has come to the right club now with AR in charge

Yes, I think you’re right and we actually don’t have an abundance of mid sized fwds.

Anyway Finbar would be a good 3 years off getting a regular game even if he did come on strong.

We tried with Donaldson .didn't go as planned ..take two

they also mention on their instagram stories quite often with a photo of him captioning "jye wants to be a bagger" also good friends with schumacher

That ultimately may mean little, as a lot can happen and change in two years.
Every chance Caldwell makes friends in Sydney and then may make friends with dollars should he want out.

Just because he may have wanted to come to Carlton today, doesn't mean he'll want to tomorrow and then there's another small factor involved - Would Carlton need or even want Caldwell in 2 years time?

Any sharp, small forwards lurking in the lower leagues for us to pick up?

Would we nick Stack from Richmond if he toes the line over summer?
Can't really nick him, he's got to want to come here.

Hmm don’t remember him at all, that’s weird.
He only played the one VFL game, if memory serves. Went on to do very little in the WAFL for a few years as well.
