This is how I see it...
We are done with trading picks
We'll use one more pick to get a speedy small fwd and we are done
Pick Martin psd
Get some rookies, maybe Webb

A great trade period and leave 2020 picks alone
Well done SOS & co

Take care. I hope you quickly recover
Also, we can now anchor our hopes on this great team again
Stay strong Elmer, the brotherhood here have your back. My oldest daughter suffers from anxiety and depression, so much great medical research in this area, managing it will only get better in the coming years.

Wow, just wow.

Will post my thoughts tomorrow, but I go to bed tonight a very, very happy Carlton supporter.

Kemp and Philp, what a sensational result for the footy club. Looking forward to seeing what else we have in store tomorrow.

Is that photoshopped Thy or is that really Kemp’s body.

Yep another highly successful draft from SOS so far, you’d think we would be used to it by now but he just keeps pulling the right levers and coming up trumps.

So your mob ruined my top 10 prediction bidding on Henry :p but you done good picking one of my personal favourites over the last two years.

Kemp has been in my top 5 prospects from as early as last year and he would be the perfect option to pair with Cripps and to have them waxing between midfield and forward would cause nightmares for the opposition in years to come.

Charlie had glandular fever and a knee injury in his first year.....big Harry had stress fractures in his back that also kept him out for extended periods in 2016.

Kemp will miss most of the season, but will be an important cog in our success for the next decade....he's not just a short term option to plug holes, he'll be a ripper!!

A bit like Selwood, would have been a lot higher in the draft if he didn't come in with an injury.
I hope it`s somehow a good omen for him and us, because Paddy Cripps broke his leg playing for our reserves/Northern in his first year if I remember correctly...........and only played seniors the following year.........then went BALLISTIC!!! ;)

"Other recruiters love him (Philp) and liked the choice."

This kid wasn't lasting much longer.
when the dust has settled we'll still get a C minus ............

He looked uncomfortable when the camera panned to him, think you might be onto something.
I'm keeping with the Draft Day talk earlier today, he reminded me of Bo Callahan when he was sliding. Robertson looked rattled and lacked composure I thought.

I’d do a future 2nd + 44 for an earlier selection tomorrow and a chance at Robertson/Williams/Taylor or someone of similar quality/need.

Upgrade Gibbons to the senior list and of-course take Martin .

Really happy with how it’s panned out either way.

I wonder when that photo was taken as it looks like daylight, I know SOS said Kemp was at the club earlier today maybe then, must have been confident of taking him or just in case maybe, wouldn’t be from pre season surely.

I'm more interested in your thoughts on Philp, I obviously did not get to watch a lot of him, but his testing results were impressive. The finish to the season looked promising, so certainly is an upside pick. I don't mind players that improve in their draft year, always a nice forward projection.

Just feels like SOS is trading at another level with teams.
As others have said, he has certainly gone to the Bill Belichick school of list design. He is often trading out of high picks into multiple late first and early second round selections. If you back in your talent identification, you can really build a well balanced list. Then we've managed to trade our way into a number of solid players and it really is shaping as a master class on list building.
It will be a shame to remove him from our list management, I hope Little is worth it.

The ability to judge the draft that trading away our pick 9 to still pick up the player we wanted and also add pick 22 (upgraded to 20) was a master class. The risk was there, but no doubt a bucket load of research had been placed into the potential options.

I wonder if GCS will be wondering if Flanders is worth Kemp and ? (Maybe even a player like Robertson/Worrell)
