My missus was so bemused by my intensity she posted a pic on Facebook of me glaring at the tv thinking it was weird. My mates partners returned same.
I like it.I like a bit of self abuse...so how about we trade our 2020 2nd for one of Adelaides 2019 2nd’s and if needed offer to swap 2020 1st picks
That’ll test their Kahuna’s !!!!
They rate their ability to bounce back in 2020, after all they didn’t lose anyone of importance according to their supporters, imagine if we swapped and finished above them

I’ll leave now...I’m only joking.....or am I ???

CheersYep on Foxtel
I would consider swapping future first with port and throw in our future second for pick 22.Perfect sense really.
We won't need our second next year and if that along with one of our thirds, nets us the player we want - Good for us.![]()
Bid on maginnes for shits and gigglesHe would have something up his sleeve no doubt.
Jesus you pulled the wrong rein there, with the pace at which the draft moved you could have gone once before pick 9 and and then gone back again waiting for pick 17!!My wife was surprised I turned down nookie time in favour of the draft. I told her I’ve been WAITING ALL YEAR FOR ACTION FROM SOS!
oh baby <3A bloke with a bung knee and a mid nobody rated remotely close to the first round (wasn't even good enough for a mediocre Metro team).
Seems Carlton enough.
Finbar II tomorrow.
he was on the phone at least twice from the fox footage.
We were at the in-laws for dinner last night. Straight after dinner my wonderful understanding wife turns to me and says, “I know you want to watch the draft, don’t feel like you have to sit here”. I excuse myself, however, the mother in law is not impressed.Did NOT go down so well in my house:
Better-half: Can you PLEASE stop staring at the draft and help put the kids to bed
ferris: It's almost Adelaide's pick - I need to see if we do a deal!
*Still watching 15 mins later*
Better-half: FERRIS! NOW!
ferris: We didn't do a deal, but it's our turn now. Babe, I swear Carlton will be done in 5 mins and I will help.
Narrator: Carlton were not done 5 minutes later and ferris did not help.
Not surprising, a lot of clubs talked to him.According to article in The Age - Philp was rated by other recruiters and they thought he was a good selection.
Except for when they panned to the Swans table. You could see Dylan Stephens right there on their monitor for a good 2 minutes. Was pretty funny to be honest. Not much secrecy there. The Fox coverage was disappointing. They kept showing clubs' recruiting boxes AFTER they'd picked their player. They should have been showing the recruiting box of each club before they picked ie discussing their pick, on the phone etc. Fox missed all the drama. Whether this was a directive from the AFL to provide privacy/secrecy for clubs I don't know.
Surely that's a swap of 2020 firsts for 24. We cant trade out our first in isolation
You have my attention...I would consider swapping future first with port and throw in our future second for pick 22.
Robertson has me stumped, I see him as a Neale clone
Rivers is another, kid that can play all over the park, with the way he reads the play/pill and elite by foot. Still see him as a top 10 prospect
Taylor on talent alone is also a 1st rounder, if he gets his head straight, motivated and committed, could become the most dynamic/dangerous player of this draft

Never seen the Seinfeld episode where George is able to integrate Nookie, with Watching TV and Eating....My wife was surprised I turned down nookie time in favour of the draft. I told her I’ve been WAITING ALL YEAR FOR ACTION FROM SOS!
More of a Worpel clone very good inside but can't kick for shiteRobertson has me stumped, I see him as a Neale clone

Legit I went through almost identical dialogue with my wife. Trying to explain the mechanics of live trading and Academic bidding when she had (arguably still has) no idea about the process was amusing. Surprised she was so receptive (usually gives the eye roll after the first mention). We were at the in-laws for dinner last night. “Is it over yet?” (That was at Adelaide’s pick).
Me: “No, but this real interesting... rumours are we may be swapping picks ... wait up, no, we didn’t ...
*MIL rolls eyes
MIL: is it over yet
Me: No we are bidding on a player... over soon I swear.
MIL: Over yet?
Me: No just bidding on another player...
MIL: Over yet?
Me: No we haven’t picked yet...
MIL: You said it would be done soon half an hour ago...
Me: Yeah but Carlton are doing crazy things. Our pick is incoming now...
MIL:Come on, surely it’s over now?
Me: Just wait ...
*Carlton trades pick 11 for 17 and 22
Me ... Sorry, I’m going to be here for a while!
*MIL looks at my wife in disgust!
as long next year's first isn't on the board i'm happyLooking to make another move
Depends what we get back.as long next year's first isn't on the board i'm happy
Utter brilliance Ferris. Problem is I'm not sure most will get it. Yes, I saw it straight away. Others I feel may struggle a bit. Under appreciated way of writing in my opinion. Risky but ever so rewarding. Back on topic. Under no circumstances should SOS go. Me, you and all and sundry want him to stay,
