Absolutely, small sample, but ultra impressive. I have him almost locked in.
Why would North do that? They already traded out this years 1st to Melbourne for a 1st next year.On first glance the team I'd approach would be North Melbourne. Where would you expect them to finish next year? Somewhere around the middle eg. Pick 10? See if the take our pick 9 for their future first and pick 26 or 27 this year?

What has that poor pick done to us to make us hate it so much? Does it smell like Adelaide?![]()

Haha. After assuming all year that we would trade our (Adelaide's) 1st pick for an established player, we end trade week with it left in our hands.
And what is our next thought? Let's trade it for a 2020 first and change!
I don't disagree with the idea, just find it funny.

I'm not going back through 36 pages to look for him, but has anyone posted anything on Sam Flanders yet?
Is there even the remotest chance of him sliding to us at pick 9?

Very tough to order. I have significant queries over every player. I know you could say that about every draftee in every year, but i say that on a comparitive scale. Really interested to see if all the phantom's and public recruiters opinions largely merge as the draft nears like normal this year, or if large divergences occur.
Can only go with your own opinion, and this is mine at this stage.

Still might be ArrowMore than happy with that outcome
Unfair on Rozee. He got better as the year went on in his draft year.Admittedly, I don't know anything about this Sharp guy.
I do, though, remember reading reports about complacency drifting into Rozee's game halfway through his draft year. The kid knew he was going to get drafted highly regardless.
Still had a fantastic debut year.
Not all kids are Walsh.
Unfortunately, that's what I am thinking as well the more I check on him. I reckon Flanders is going the be the reason why Melbourne has no interest at all in Martin. If he managed to slide to us, I am hoping that SOS and Agresta grab him before Gill the Dill have finished announcing time for Carlton's pick.I think he finished off the year quite strongly with some outstanding performances.
I'd say he's probably gone before our selection.

Arrow.....first off if you were SOS would you keep or trade pick 9........and secondly who would you look at taking with that pick......just wondering, because even though he is injured and will most likely miss 2020, I like the fact that Kemp could end up being the big bodied mid that we have been looking for as well as the fact that he can play up forward or down back due to his size.........you seem to know your footy horse flesh, so what do you reckon..........Terry, like that you I think it is worthwhile laying out how you rate them and where they may fall
Great job

I'm keen. After looking somewhat tentative in his 1st game for the Northern Blues, he improved in each subsequent game. He reads the game well, is a good user & generally demonstrates good footy smarts.
I think that a lot of us were in the same boat. This is the first year in God knows how long I have put no effort into learning about this year's draft pool thinking that pick 9 is gone and it didn't matter. All I knew I'd the top 2 were sorted and of GCS got a priority pick then Melbourne weren't gonna be pleased because its pretty even from pick 3 onwards in the first round. That pleased me no end considering we swapped picks with Adelaide so that trade again was a good move considering (at least at this stage) there isn't much between picks 4 - 9. Also I typically rate Knightmare and he's saying pick 9 is a real sweet spot to be at in the draft so pretty pumped we are gonna get some talent here. Being on pick 9 plus Jack Martin and Newnes for free.
I would love to take Kemp if we keep 9, as he could be the big bodied mid we're crying out for.
The ACL is a real concern, but we already have 90% of our young core in place, so we can afford to take a high risk - high reward option if we so please.
For those who follow the NBA, I see it as similar to how the Nuggets took Michael Porter Jr. last year, if he never gets over his injuries, it isn't a huge deal since they already have a good, young roster, however if he does get over his injuries and comes on they'll have added a top 5 talent at a bargain price.
