Why are we constantly getting linked to every small forward and general defender under the sun? Makes no sense.
GC (Dew) are apparently keen on Kemp.Trade 9 to Gold Coast...

As is tradition on draftmas, we’ll get all revved up about all the things on our wishlist but feel slightly underwhelmed when we realise we only get one of them. Then, naturally, we will get drunk and provoke tension with the rest of the family.
His combine results confirm what I’ve seen with my eyes. When you’ve seen him run down several times in U18 footy like I have you worry about it.FWIW the 20 metre sprint isn't a great measure of football speed. Football isn't played in straight lines. Running patterns and change of direction is more important.
Also, Jack Watts (2.82) was faster than Gary Rohan (2.95) and Patrick Dangerfield (2.92) https://www.dynamicfootyskills.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Testing-comparision-tables.pdf
I wouldn't worry about his combine results too much.

Happy for you to not be worried about it. I’ll remain worried about it.
Stephens, Cahill & Chirgwin....although their picks are different to their summary at the bottom of the page....they must have forgotten to update it from earlier![]()
2019 Draft Central Phantom Draft
THE 2019 AFL National Draft is just a couple of days away and it is clear that trying to work out which clubs favour which players is incredibly difficult given the evenness of the draft crop outside the first round. Even inside the first round, preferences will play a huge role in where players...afl.draftcentral.com.au
This phantom draft has us gettingSerong, Cahill & Chirgwin.
Plus Caleb is still giving us options even though he's picked by FreoStephens, Cahill & Chirgwin....although their picks are different to their summary at the bottom of the page....they must have forgotten to update it from earlier

I thought it was the coach who got the final say on LucasTrue HBF, the power brokers had a lot of pull back then, as too the coach
I assume you'll listen to the draft on the wireless?Incorrect. Because I just cancelled it.
I think Adelaide take him at 6Methinks McAsey if he's still there.
Might need to trade up to jump Hawks.
So true.Conversely, if they don't pick 9 goes up in trade value.
Woah don't go too early. Pretty out there stuffMy prediction:
Our first pick will be later than 9
Our 2nd pick will be before 43
(ignoring bidding adjustments)
So looking forward to tonight, even though chances are i'll have to watch it later.Happy Draftmas, bitches!
Love that movie!Vontae Mack
Depending on who we are targeting it is still very possible that 14 and 24 is better then 15 and 20. Ports 16 and 18 might actually be better for who we are targeting.
Surely we would be chasing something like
Out: Pick 9 + 43
In: GC 2019 Pick 20 + GC 2020 Pick 11
Or
Out: Pick 9 + 2020 2nd rd
In: GC 2019 Pick 15 + GC 2020 Pick 11
Then we can go shopping next year for senior players
The problem with this "we can go shopping next year" is that it can be quite unpredictable if there will be players we want available and if these players actually want to come to us. It increases the risk of a) lifting supporter expectations only for it to come crashing down which we've seen this year b) overpaying to get a player just cos we have the picks and c) having a few first round picks in a highly compromised draft. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. We might not be able to get a big or bigger fish. For the last two pre seasons I've read how next year will be the year...it simply might not happen or it might be via free agencySurely we would be chasing something like
Out: Pick 9 + 43
In: GC 2019 Pick 20 + GC 2020 Pick 11
Or
Out: Pick 9 + 2020 2nd rd
In: GC 2019 Pick 15 + GC 2020 Pick 11
Then we can go shopping next year for senior players
