I think we really need to see how he develops yet Browny. At the moment he's a very lightly built 69kg outside mid who is really dependent upon others finding the ball for him or spilling out of a contest his way. What are your thoughts on Mitch O’Neill
Arr0w or anyone else who wants to have a go at this;
Who are your top six at this stage and which players would you say would make for the best fit for the club.
The reason I ask is that we'll have a lot of talk through the year as to who we could have picked up with the pick we could have had, but what's really available that doesn't double up on what we have.
By double up, I mean do we need another inside mid? Another KPF or KPD?
It's very early and impossible to make sense of things just yet, but at some point in time we will be wondering what we may have had with a likely top 6 pick and whether that player will be better than Stocker alone, or better than the sum of Stocker and Adelaides first pick.

Time will tell but I don't see us selecting in the first round in the 2019 AFL draft.
If we are trading though, I hope we don't just overpay for the sake of bringing in mature aged talent.
There's enough talent in this draft and if we end up with a pick around say 10-12, you never know what will slide on the night. There always seems to be a bargain around that range. E.g. Jye Caldwell in 2018, Darcy Fogarty in 2017, Will Brodie in 2016 and Charlie Curnow in 2015.
Gut tells me that next years first was always going to be parked away for a player/s but nevertheless, the talk will be all over who we could have got.
I may be wrong, but I didn't see any players that genuinely interested me via the champs.
There were, but not at the level of the players the year before. i.e. Walsh, Lukosius, Rankine and the prospect of the King Bros.
It's not out of the question that the CFC saw Stocker as being better than for all the prospects the following year, is it?

Maybe the adelaide pick could be broken down to advantage.
Lets say adelaide finish 8th and richmond 1st , picks 11 and 18 respectively.
Needing a clever small forward and a small running defender , would we consider trading picks with richmond with Dan Butler or Shai Bolton added then drafting the small running defender with the richmond pick.
In effect , we trade our 2019 1st pick for Stocker , a small running defender to replace Simpson and a clever small forward in either Butler or Bolton ... all players of need.
We have our core in place now , the future stars are there , they just need time , development and games togeather.
This use of our resources may well help round out the bigger picture of the team of the future ...
No, I'd rather use Adelaide's 1st rounder to pick one of the best small forward in the draft. Looking back at previous years drafts Pick 8-18 has got you:
2018 - Zac Butters, Ned McHenry
2017 - Zac Bailey, Jack Higgins
2016 - Olivier Florent, Daniel Venables, Jordan Galluci
2015 - Wayne Milera, Daniel Rioli, Jade Gresham
I'd take every one of those over Shai Bolton and Dan Butler.
Which is why SOS was so happy to trade out our first round pick this year. Where do you think Stocker would go in this years draft? At this stage, next year's draft does not have the overall top 10 quality of this year's draft

Yeah love the look of him, would fit perfectly! Good height and weight for a small forwardCaleb Serong , would be a good outcome for us, if he were available between picks 8-13, reckon Crows 1st rounder will fall somewhere there about.
Certainly likely to be on the list.Caleb Serong , would be a good outcome for us, if he were available between picks 8-13, reckon Crows 1st rounder will fall somewhere there about.
No 1 No doubt.Which is why SOS was so happy to trade out our first round pick this year. Where do you think Stocker would go in this years draft?
Certainly likely to be on the list.
Hoping our "kids" show during the season that our midfielders and KPP stocks are more than adequate for the foreseeable future.
IMO that would leave us targeting one of.
Historically these types do fall in the second half of the first round.
- Mercurial small/medium forward
- Genuine quality young ruck
- Rebounding defender with dash and quality disposal (read kicking)
