Thomson Dow named in the best players & kicked a couple of goals in Bendigo Pioneers' win over the Geelong Falcons.
Henry Walsh not in the best players for the Falcons.
I don't know if the Pioneers beating the Falcons is a surprise result or not, given the Falcons reputation as a 'talent factory'. Perhaps the factory has cut back production.
I also note Tom Papley's younger brother playing for the Gippsland Falcons. If he is even a half decent player, he can't be allowed to slide to the Swans like his older brother, given the family pedigree.

I think you'll find every Carlton supporter will want to draft this kid.
Nothing better than seeing two brothers play for the same club.
Make it happen SOS.
Dow and DeKoning would be available in this year's draft, but Henry Walsh doesn't turn 18 until 2020, so assume he would be in next year's draft. As a 201cm ruckman, he would be exactly what what we need on our list moving forward as well.SOS has two known modus operandi when it comes to recruiting brothers - either bad shoulders or stopped for drink driving and refusing a test. Not sure if if he can repeat both MO three times this year. May have to choose two out of three brothers.

that would never happen
What about the other end of the ground? We don't have a genuine small defender on the list, which is why we're developing Garlett there. If Agresta isn't assessing the state leagues whilst donning small forward coloured glasses this year I will be a sad panda.
He will go down there at change of ends....What about the other end of the ground?

We don't have a 2nd round pickI would really like us to keep the 1st round pick this year a hopefully grab a player like Higgins, Hayward or Butters.
There are plenty of good players available with our 2nd and 3rd round picks to do both.
Pioneers have been the TAC Cup whipping boys for years, so I'm wondering if perhaps this year they have a stronger list than normal therefore explaining their win over the Falcons.Pioneers only average 1 or 2 wins a yr so yes a surprise
100% Thy....that's why Sos and Agresta need to be looking strategically at the best value for money at the end of 2019 from a trade perspective, not just what's available.
