I'm not sure there's been a more prolific team draftees than the Stingrays over the last couple of seasons, although Oakleigh gave it a red hot crack at the last draft.

Also, didn't see this get a run here:

Monday May 27, the night after round 10 concludes.
...

Like the NAB AFL Draft, the Mid-Season Rookie Draft will be selected in reverse ladder order. The mid-season draft will be based on the ladder positions as they stand after round 10.

Dylan Williams has got some real tricks for a medium forward Arrow, Classy, touch of Xfactor
After Anderson he'd be my next pick from what I've seen so far from those boys.

Certainly in the mix, hopefully he can show some midfield prowess during the year

I suppose 19 Y/Os still playing in the NAB league are eligible for the mid season draft?
I would have thought so, as they don't seem to have added any extra conditions like they did with the state league pre-selection picks.

Sculls set to return on Sunday, he would have been perfect for our team. Wish we had taken the gamble. Hawks got 2 great players for nothing (schrimshaw and scully)

Any info on young Serong would be appreciated.
Is he the best small forward in the draft ?
Lefty ? Righty ? Dual sided ?
Goal sense ?
Footy smarts ?
Pace ?
Strengths/Weaknesses ?
Plays like ???

Right footed, very strong and powerful, seen him goal from well outside 50 off one step. Fortunately his strength and explosiveness doesnt hinder his agility at all, great mark too. Only knock is he doesnt get his hands on it as much as youd like. Will be a good player imo, bit like petracca but shorter, more tricks and far more agile

I am a bit biased as my son is team mates with him, but he is a superb player

Cheers mate.
Nice summary and sounds like a definite watch for us as a needs type player.
Our crows pick might be around the mark if we don’t trade it for a ready made player.

At 179 and 81 KG has a bit of Robbie Gray about him, very strong overhead

Like Gray, has an impact whether forward or through the middle, able to win his own footy

Would be a very good pick up in the 8 - 14 range

Sounds very tasty Arr0w and we have a position ready and waiting for such a player.
Just by chance ;) the crows pick might do the trick ...

Serong's attributes and projected draft range sound very similar to Jade Gresham.

Gresham not the best player in the league, but almost the best fit in the league in terms of what we are missing.

From what I have read and heard not seen much at all but will catch a few oakleigh chargers games during the year and watch championships on tv...that this years draft after pick 25 runs very thin.
