Philp is a 187cm balanced mid with extreme speed and acceleration that allows him to erupt out of stoppages and into clear air.

Thanks for the update. Saw a bit of info about speed and power. Might give us what Flanders would have given us anyway. Point of difference type in the midfield.

So we get Kemp and Philp, and still have all of our picks in 2020....well, except for our 4th rounder.

Hopefully the trade with GCS will have cooled Cochrane's jets, so the transition may be a fait accompli.

Certainly looks quick, but from that highlights package he seems to lack power in his kicks. Hopefully that can improve with a couple of full preseasons. I’m wary of picking guys on speed alone. LOB is slowly coming along, but is proof that elite runners do not always make the best footballers.

Kicking just isn't there, though he's an impressive player. I'd forgotten how bad it was until I sat down and watched a bit more of him.

I kept hearing he bolted 'late', so I'll defer to track watchers. I'll sit down and look at his NAB League footage in an hour or so. His kicking earlier in the season was patchy, but he looked a bit raw so perhaps he hadn't be training more along the lines of that which he played?

We wernt using 55. So that doesn't matter

Sounds bloody brilliant, been really busy and haven't been across the prospects like previous seasons. Is Philp (surely the new flip) an out of nowhere pick/ about where he was rated or did he slide a bit?

I know enough about Kemp to be excited with that pick.
