I will be honest, I have had a very rough evening health wise, nearly 2 hours ago I had a really bad panic attack (thought it was a heart attack) and the fine ambos had to come check me out, i am now okay, but this draft and the players and haul SOS trawled in did really lift my spirts and helped to erase the negative/fearful thoughts that were racing through my mind.

I cannot thank Mr Silvagni and the Carlton Football Club enough, this has been another wonderful night for the club, and was the placebo I needed the most. #GratefulElmer

Panic attacks are shit, combined with the ol black dog, devastating. can be overcome believe me. Feel free to msg me and hope your through this bout. Go blues

Really happy with our night tonight. Got a player we targeted, kept others honest and pick up an extra youngster with pace. Some serious talent still on the board.
Not sure about Tigers reaching for Dow. Round 1 will be interesting for Mr and Mrs Dow. Pressure on Paddy to be the best Dow from the first round now. Christmas table bragging rights
Pressure on Dows midfield spot now that we have Philp and Kemp when he rehabs, but Philp has all the same Dow attributes with his explosiveness from the contest, me thinks Dow should be working real hard now.

I am thinking and hoping that Graham Wright will try to do a trade and get back into the draft early tomorrow night and snare Robertson before a bid comes on Finn.

I agree with you that a lot of clubs were spooked by his kicking skills the same way a lot of clubs were spooked about Worpol, but that turned out pretty well for us.
The kid gets to good position and always knows what to do with it to maintain possession at a teammates advantage.
Seems to be the guy who is always first in to the loose ball too.
Massive steal for someone.
Good luck to him.

Cheers, very kind of you, I am very sorry to hear you also suffer from it and depression..

Really looking forward to seeing our new kids at training sometime. And we are getting Jack Martin on Friday Morning. 👍👍👍

Yep, feeling a lot better now (the ambulance staff were brilliant, they truly deserve a pay rise)
Appreciate the support a lot :)

Oh, and another thing. Oddly happy that our two first round draftees are unlikely to feature at senior level next year given we also add Betts, Newnes and hopefully Martin.

Bodes well for the list if kids coming in get the benefit of a few years' development before cracking the seniors.

Stability and continuity now, thanks.

Picking Robertson could have been good collateral if he didn't fit in as potential trade to West Coast to bring Gaff home?

Ridiculous idea, you don't draft players with the aim of trading them out. Robertson's value only drops if he struggles at a Vic club and requests a trade later.

He'll either get it or he won't. ;)

24 months is extremism. Seems like he's at the 4.5 months stage around now? He should already be straight line running.

With a good program, he'll be ready to play VFL mid-season, but I suspect we'll just keep him in shape over 2020.

A few in our current side would have benefited from this approach. Good to see that the Dows and Fishers of the world will have to fight for their spots.

Yeah that's what they said. Is that wrong?
Apologies, didn't mean to upset.....when the bid came through for Henry, and Freo matched it, the crew were talking about the picks that they needed to match, and how they were going into deficit in 2020. But I thought I head them say something about "Carlton get a future 2nd round", or something along those lines.

I'll have to watch it again...maybe it was just the excitement of the night, and the Jack Daniels settling the nerves ;)
