Did NOT go down so well in my house:

Better-half: Can you PLEASE stop staring at the draft and help put the kids to bed
ferris: It's almost Adelaide's pick - I need to see if we do a deal!
*Still watching 15 mins later*
Better-half: FERRIS! NOW!
ferris: We didn't do a deal, but it's our turn now. Babe, I swear Carlton will be done in 5 mins and I will help.

Narrator: Carlton were not done 5 minutes later and ferris did not help.
nice, Morgan Freeman was the narrator in my head.

SOS crawled to freedom through five years of shit-smelling foulness I can't even imagine, or maybe I just don't want to. Five years... that's the length of an average football career, just on half a decade.

SOS - who crawled through a river of shit and came out with a clean list on the other side.

List is in a really good spot now in regards to having those replacements for our older boys. Simpson, Murphy, Kreuzer, Curnow, Betts. I think were ticking a lot of boxes. Rebuild will be at 100% this year or the next. Then I can see us trading players and first rounders and trying to make upgrades.

As it's turned out we didn't really need that priority pick, we've manufactured our own. Stocker, Kemp and Philp for the one pick. Martin for nothing (hopefully).

Interesting to see who we land with our later picks. Always some interesting players later on. Wild would have to be on the cards as well.

Genuine midfield depth for the first time in a very long time. Northern Blues will be worth a look this season.
say again?

if rsi is still a thing, who do I put a claim into for injuries received in the past 24 hour liking fest? every post a winner, baby........that's the truth........

I'm also seriously confused by Robertson. This kid has put up Walsh level numbers, has averaged over 30 through the carnival, won the Larke medal and captained his state. He could not have done anymore but has slid due to a slight knock on his kicking, just like Worpel. So many times recruiters draft hoping that players reach their potential ceiling but this kid's floor is almost the highest in the draft. I can't work it out.
see paddy dow.......

talking about kicking issues that are a heap more difficult to "fix" than people are making out...........best way to "fix" them is to steer clear of them........

Does anyone still think Carlton “lost” the trade period?????

I just realised that SOS wasn’t sitting on a chair last night, he was sitting on his own balls.

More of the same tonight from the great man.

If I'm a betting man, I reckon SOS is already in contact with the Swans looking at their picks 25 (now 27) and 32 (now 34).

Our 2020 second round pick would no doubt be on offer, which could suit the Swans who would be looking to add points for access to their 2020 academy boys.

Come on SOS, one final knock out punch 👊😬
will be hacked off if club media can't fashion some quality mic drop footage as he leaves........

Port trade 22 and future fourth to Brissy for 23 and future 2nd.

Add to that our 55 and they likely still get who they want.

Great work, and all from the receiving end. Fortuitous position to be in.

SOS and his team must have gone through a huge amount of scenario's before last night. It really showed how managed to keep his cool after the players he wanted initially were gone.
you'd think they'd be role playing so many different scenarios - I heard ronald macdonald refused to play reid again this year - something about his dignity
