is all I can see in your post unfortunately :(

The Womens.afl phantom draft has been released. Apparently we have been heavily linked to Mia Austin (forward), with our other choices depending on who Hawthorn, *, and St Kilda take before us.

I'd be happy with Gatt and Austin.

Just want to say pre draft, that despite the loss of many so called stars, we have no stand out list needs. We absolutely will be looking to draft best available.

It could be argued we are short of proven key forwards, but I believe our mature coverage and our kids will both stand up, along with a combination of Moody and a developing Good adding another potent dimension.

We have defenders, inside and outside mids, rucks, forwards and utility players. No glaring weaknesses. We lament the impact of the trade period, I argue that some perceived lesser lights Guerrin etc will step up big time.

Does anyone know the actual start time of the draft? You go to this page: NAB AFL Women's Draft and all it tells you is the date.

Coverage starts on the AFLW app and website at 7pm. I would expect a bit of discussion prior so am thinking first pick will be 7:15 or 7:30.

Why are the female KPP so short?

Surely there are 6foot + women who can play, that could sit in the goal square or ruck...

LAUREN WAKFER

Pos Ruck
Ht 179cm, DOB 23/4/04
From South Fremantle/Western Australia

The best ruck prospect this year, Wakfer unfortunately ruptured her ACL a few weeks ago and will be unavailable for the season. In a shallower Western Australia draft pool, her talent is still undeniable. Still relatively inexperienced, the netballer is very athletic around the ground and has strong tap work.

Wouldn't worry too much about that, the measurements league-wide are not highly reliable.

Breann Moody still listed at 180cm and yet to be corrected after six seasons, for example.

Updated most of the ones with gaps, except for Charlie Ryan whose strengths and weaknesses only comes from summary write ups, not specific traits.

Speed and skill is needed wing & forward & midfield, along with a KPF is a must…

Sarah Black’s Taylah Gatt (Dandenong) - speedy/skilled winger & Mia Austin (Eastern) - athletic/clever KPF prediction would be perfect…

Like the profile of Rylie Wilcox (Northern) - forward/winger footy IQ, skills, decision making, evasion, workrate…

If we can get Paige Scott or Jamie-Lee Speakman to fall to Vic pick #26, I would be thrilled to get them. No doubt there are plenty of names out there just as good or maybe some more mature players who can come in straight away. Very interested in how we approach this.

We will see with Wilcox. Tipped to go earlier than our picks. Reads like a more consistent Georgia Gee. If we go another direction however, as stated above, Paige Scott is a likely small forward type.

Cheers, no idea on the girls this year just reading through the profiles the past few days…
Did liken her to Gee, definitely a player type the team/list needs…

Yeah, if we can address that with a later pick for someone described as having x factor and explosiveness, I'll be happy. I'm not sure Poppy Schaap is up to the level.

My prediction is 3 young draftees and 1 mature age from the VFLW. We may even hold that last pick to assess what is left and sign them as a free agent.
