Everyone looks at Carlton forward line and think of it as there "strong point" (dont ask me how theres a strong point in that team). I think those people need to take a closer look at it. Quite simply the players that surround Fevola are not up to AFL standard or quality. Lets take a unbiased look at them

Brad Fisher - Injury prone footballer with kicking skills that rival Mark McGough. Cant take a contested mark and relies on cheap kicks on a wing to make a name for himself. Not good enough.

Jarrad Waite - One of the most untalented CHF in the game. Cant take a contested mark to save himself and is too lightweight to play deep. A glorified half back flanker. Not good enough

Anthony Koutafides - The man who spent the entire pre season dancing around in a suit  . Was a good player ten years ago but now he is a shell of what he once was. Uninterested player with no passion. Should of retired

Eddie Betts - Unfit slow and untalented. Cant mark cant kick and has carried his career based on 3 fluke goals. Not good enough

Josh Kennedy - Injury prone KPP who has had 2 shoulder reconstructions. I can tell you he is just another version of Kepler Bradley, If he makes it ill enter the next draft. Not good enough

Its funny to see how one man all of a sudden has made the players around him look half decent. The thing is what happens when this one man leaves. What happens when this one man loses form and doesnt care anymore. A post Fev Carlton ( I imagine he will retire in 2 years to travel with Bingle) or a injury to him and the club will fold and be gone forever. I hope they have million dollar insurance because the lack of talent next too him will cause concern for Carlton for many years to come

Maybe it should be Fevola is their strong point? It's quite embarrassing when your leading goalkicker is the Coleman Medallist with over 80 goals while your second highest goalkicker is Eddie Betts who struggled to kick 20 in the season.

Anyone can kick 80 goals when you kick them the ball 80% of the time. Carlton have been told not to kick it to there other forwards cos there not good enough. Pagan would be gone if the fans found out just how ordinary the rest of them are and he is smart enough to protect his 1 million dollar paycheque for one more year. Past that, well I think there faults will finally show

I stopped reading at the bolded part. Shows you know nothing about Carlton's list. You WA supporters in general have no idea about football outside of your state.

You have Dawson and Gilham as your fullbacks.

WCE's forwardline isn't worth putting out if it was on fire or worth it's weight in ******** without the Eagles midfield kicking to it. They wouldn't even crack a regular game ahead of Fisher, Waite, Fevola, Betts and Kennedy if they were at Carlton.

Staker, Lynch and Hansen aren't fit to lift their footy boots.

Hahaha no chance. Apart from Fevola, your forward line is terrible.
Not one member of your premiership forwardline would have cracked a game for Carlton if they were on our list in 1987, 1995, 1999 or 2000. I doubt you would find a poorer forward six if you looked through every flag side in history.

Aside from 1992 and 1994. ;)

Not easy to kick goals when your injured and not playing.

So the Eagles have a better forward line than St Kilda or Sydney?
Depends on how you rate a forward line

By player reputation no, but stats wise were comparable

Note that West Coast were 5th for Inside 50's yet 4th for total points scored in 2006. Suggesting that the clubs forward line was very efficient

The clubs needs to work on it's conversions rate though as it's goals to shot ratio is below average

Not that simple, however, as it doesn't take into account your midfielders kicking goals. Judd, Embley, Cousins (although does spend time at HF) contribute heaps to your goals - but your forwards in Lynch, Staker, Hansen, Hunter at times don't compare to Hall, O'loughlin and O'Keefe, or Gehrig, Reiwoldt and even Milne.

lol, compare how many times the ball was kicked at Lynch to how many times it was kicked at Fev and you'll find he's actually converts more efficiently.
Maybe, who knows.
But eagles do get the most disposals of any team in the AFL and Lynch is their only real quality forward.

LOL .. it was funny to watch Carrol get owned by Fev Twice last season.

It was also funny to watch Glass get owned by Fev .. well ... always ?
Meh. That's last year.
I'm just pointing out the fact that when parrot trolls all Carlton supporters laugh at other supporters biting back and when parrot says something really stupid they all distance themselves from him, so it's nice to see someone give some back.

Lynch is targeted less for whatever reason, possible our midfielders scoring more goals than usual, but he still kicked a fair amount of goals this season. And started with only 6 goals in the first 5 games. :)

And he's only 23. [/one-eye]

Why wouldn't you go to Fevola, hes a bloody top line full forward.
Lynch is on the improve, as are some of the young Blues forwards. I wouldn't call them no talent hacks, they would all go a lo better if the had a midfield the quality of West Coasts feeding them the ball.
