Carlton's new fitness surge can be put down to one Man. John Tsavdaridis. This man has got them running marathons in the preseason which is why they are actually running games out.

Tsavdaridis is a fitness guru who was recommended to Carlton thru Micheal Malouf as they are very close

Well if sunday night was any indication he is doing a great job, a real test will be subiaco this saturday night.

well the drills that he does with them, Subiaco will be a cup of tea. He has got them in superb conditioning. The reason being is he has run marathons throughout the world.
Malouf is on a winner. Collins didnt want him but Malouf over ruled on this one and it looks like its paying off.
He even had Whitnall stay with him at his house to trim him up.
Another cost cutting measure than sending him to the Health Farm again.

Well with our financial situation we could afford to send lance to queensland.

Interesting stuff. Thats great to see carlton thinking outside the bag.

WOnder what his, or anyone elses thoughts, are on Fev with the cramping he got. It appears that after spending so much time hands on hips in the forward line, now that he has started pulling his finger out to do the hard yards he got found out. Hopefully wont be discouraged as I would love to see him pushing up the ground to dliver to waite and Fish.

Fev did have a late start to pre-season remember following his groin operation. He'll get fitter with more training and matches under his belt.

this is why Fev is fitter this year as Tsavdaridis has got him the fittest he's ever been. Ive seen him down at Carlton training and he puts other fitness coaches to shame

One other thing on the fitness.

It is exceptional we know. But the boys have been absolutely flogged in 2003 and 2004 in the pre season. One member of this team, who is doing a degree in sports/fitness was extremely concerned at the amount of work that had been done previously and believed that it was detrimental to the group.

This year, privately, he has been singing the praises. So the fitness staff must be commended.
