While I hope the Lions win today, I don't really think it'll avenge past heartbreaks.

As hard as it might be to admit (but it is fact), the Kangaroos have beaten us when it matters. While I'm not saying that today doesn't matter, the two preliminary finals were so much more important for obvious reasons.

Anyway, today should be a great game, like most of them are, (yes even in the games where the lions have lost, which has so far been the case, they have been tightly contested games, with the exception of the two finals).

If you look at Shattock's stats for yesterday he got about 4 touches. I think he'll probably be in the Magoos next week......

I dont mean to bag the bloke, as I played cricket with him in year 7, but I haven't seen him do anything in his games so far...

Shannon Rusca is an absolute gun...if he gets a go....wait and see

Shannon THE SMILING ASSASIN, RUSKY Rusca was suppose to play in the ressies yesterday, but he had a slight injury problem and so they decided to rest him so..

I agree Rusky is a gun, and I for one would love to see him get a go in the top grade.

I reckon Shattock goes alright. He's pretty hard at it, and he seems to be picking up things from the older, more experienced blokes. He held Wanganeen pretty well the other week too.

He might not be dynamic (and he could improve on his disposal), but he could develop into one of our best tagging options.

S.Rusca looked ok, in what I saw of him last year. He used the ball ok (what he got of it), showed a bit of class, and pace.

I don't know whether he's physically up to seniors yet - especially with a few other small guys in the squad already (ie: Hart, Power, Akermanis, and McRae when he returns).

Johnson would have to be in for consideration too, I would expect.
