Caro Wilson can get st*&^ed

Caroline Wilson knows nothing about the Fremantle football club. Most people in Melbourne know she has and agenda against Mark Harvey though! Apparently this all occured when he was on FC some time ago........she just doesn't like him and by all accounts he doesn't like her.

She likes to get a reaction from the footy public by reporting contentious drivel. She is also an AFL media "stooge".....the AFL use her and a select few to beat up postive media reports/spin about the AFL - her credibility is zippo!

The best thing anyone from Fremantle can do is ignore her........she's a bone head of the highest order.

Well that makes sense then. Cheers. Here's to unbiased journalism and the tooth fairy.

I cannot stand Fremantle fans who say this kind of crap.

Harvey did the one thing that CC would not do and that is shakeup the squad through retirements and the draft. He has generated an inner strength in the squad that is more team-orientated and with more focus.

Any coach that takes over in their first year, if they are worth anything will shake up the squad and change the game style. He did that and we are better for it.

What kind of crap is that? The fact that our win-loss record for this year was not good enough? I am pissed off that we only won 6 games this year and 4 of them were against the three other worst teams. I cannot stand Fremantle fans that were happy with the way the year went.

After initially sticking with the same old same old and realising that wasn't working he changed it. Kudos to Harvey for that and doing what will hopefully make us a stronger team in the future. However I can still remember how pissed off I was after our round 1 team was named.

I still don't know if Harvey is a good coach or not, he is good at list management for sure but im not sold on his coaching just yet.

My sources tell me that Caro wanted to b&^e Mark Harvey and he told her she was a d&*&y sk*&k who needed to fix her cr^#&#d s*%#e and keep her fantasies to s#$@%#$g Terry Wallace.

Since then she has been a complete b$#@h to Harvs :):):)

Judging Harvey as a coach is not realistic until the ext season is effectively over, and possibly another year after that. We have only ever had Rookie coaches, and it is very clear that it is not a job that you can fully learn by being an assistant. There is an on the job learning curve they all need to go through.

As for list management, I can't actually see that he is good at it, at least not yet. This year we are currently going to be picking players after the sixth round, whereas last year the club thought that no new players were worth selecting after the third round. Better to have found another young player last year in the 4th round than a young player this year in the 7th. Also, a critical part of list management is keeping the players who are part of your best 22 or part of the future. Warnock and Mundy meet that criteria, and if the club can get them to stay, or get good del for them, then we have taken a step forward.

This is a little off topic though but sorta related(I did post on topic before in the thread:rolleyes:) but the way she spoke about people comparing Voss to Buckley sounded just like the usual posting(trolling) on BF...... me thinks I may have discovered her oh so secret source(s) for the claims she makes. BWAHAHAHAHA would help in explaining alot of things she says!:D

The perception over east was that Connolly got a raw deal at the hands of the local media and Fremantle supporters in WA and was chased out of town.

??? Connolly did a lot of good things for Freo and gave us our first final win and first Preliminary appearance, but his time was up. My opinion is Connolly did some great work but never made the tough decisions. He LET the tail wag the dog. Never dropped Hedland, or anybody for that matter, for underperforming, never dragged Farmer or Carr for poor discipline. Nobody else snapped him up as a coach last year. What do others reckon?

Eh? I was just being facetious and yes I probably did edit the post..... I have a touchpad on my notebook. I can't touch type so I usually scroll down to submit reply without realising I'v bumped the left had side of the pad which fast scrolls left to right. My posts end up looking like a mess or my spelling was atrocious so I just edited it after posting.:eek:

Football operations manager is probably the position that suits Cuddly. I'll admit that he's great on marketing side. Even with tactics he wasn't that bad, in fact he was a bit ahead of time [remember how he got blasted in media for "high" rotations, look at coaching now] Being soft on underperforming players was his biggest problem as a coach. He never had the ability to get the best out of players ala Malthouse or Matthews.

agreed. ^ ^ ^ Good post

I'm raising an eyebrow at the blatant contradiction of this quote when compared to a whole season of posts questioning Harvey's credentials and worth and ability.

It makes me smile inside Gav :)

Glad it makes you smile. Please feel free to use quotes where I contradict myself. I find that is better than simply saying a poster is contradicting himself.

My posts regarding Harvey have put two thoughts that revolve around that he clearly had the opinion that our list was finals material, demonstrated by a series of actions of his. To me they raise two questions; either; he has made a poor assessment of our list as they are not one that has the ability to play finals OR they do have the ability to play finals, and because he is a rookie coach, it was a poor time to change coaches as rookies always need to go through a huge learning curve. I'm not questioning his ability or credentials (apart from saying that as a rookie they are by defitinition an unknown quantity), he was clearly the best option. I am questioning the timing of going for another rookie coach if we have a squad which has the ability to play finals, which was clearly the clubs (as well as media and most posters on here before round 1, 2008) opinion.

I think its obvious Harvey had the desire to butcher the list at the end of the year, he would of came in thinking he would try the older players so that he could watch them as a coach and see if they were going to take the team forward but still kept in mind that at the end of the year he was going to cut more than a handfull. He could not just play the kids from round 1.

He knew what the older group could do, he had been at the club for two seasons before this one. Round 1 was a shocking team to put on the park.

I'm no fan of Harvey, but surely the crabs who were playing the games would be a much better target for Caro then Harvey?

I mean, seriously, you are replacing 10 blokes and players like Peake and Thornton remain.

Caro is a chump

Harvey has made some mistakes and remains unproven but surely a chief sports reporter on a national program could offer more analytical insight then "blame the coach"

I'd like to punch her in her ovaries. She knows nothing about football and just pisses ppl off. Thats why the NRL footy show ditched her extremely quickly and why no one reads her columns

Yes but imagine the outcry if the round one team had featured Palmer, Hinkley, Mayne and left out M Carr, Macca, Bell? Many of us on here would have said yeah! but he would have been pilloried by the more conservative elements in the membership and the media.

He was on a hiding to nothing, dammed if he did, dammed if he didn't.

Half the people on this board would have had Schammer, Mundy and Duffield with their bags packed before the season was out and he's persisted and moved them around and got them playing good footy. Give the guy a little credit for knowing more than we do.

Let's see how they are going half way through next year.
