For what it is worth I cannot recall a time when Caroline Wilson has ever done more than mildly criticise Richmond! Up until the end of 1999 this would have been considered balanced commentary at The Age as in the other corner we had Patrick Smith!
I personally have never noticed any overt bias against the Kangaroos by Wilson, but I’ve never met a Roo who has kind words to say about her! Maybe there is something in that!

For that matter, I don’t recall her being overly viscious to St.Kilda, Western Bulldogs, Sydney, Brisbane / Fitzroy, Geelong or Melbourne! After all, none of these teams have won a premiership in the last 20 years, so therefore are not as successful as Richmond!

A lot of the hostility towards Wilson by North fans has to do with an article she wrote (back in '99 I think) where she took comments made by the wife of a North player, twisted them out of context, and thus smeared the reputation of the player in question.
