" MELBOURNE will be scheduled two "home" matches in Queensland next season, with the addition of a Carrara match to its fixture. " herald sun today
that leaves us with 9 real home games for next year which will make things tougher than they need to be. The game will be against adelaide over easter, I understand that the MCG is unavailable for this period and a few VIC teams will be making similar arrangements for next year giving interstate teams another leg up. But the fact that we arleady have a regular queensland game that we lose every year makes this a bad decision.
hawthorn is also playing a match at Carrara next year giving the brisbane lions 13 games in queensland (4 more home games than us).
