Carroll likely to go!

Carroll didnt actually have a go at Dutchy. Was a complete accident. These two blokes are very good mates.

As my name suggests, I love Chopper, but his is probably up. The recent and past indiscretions don't help, but the fact that we now have Rivers, Garland, Warnock, Martin and Frawley down back now is what's going to hurt his chances of sticking around.

Good luck to ya Chop!!

I would pay out his contract if funds permit us to do so. His presence at the club is no longer beneficial, as he doesn't contribute a great deal on the field or off it.

In any case, he's been a reasonable player for the club over a few seasons, so I wish him luck for the future.

Doesn't matter if they're mates, drunk people do stupid shit and obviously Carroll has the tendancy to get aggressive.

Dutchy trying to be a good bloke to his team mates even though he's leaving the club, but i think he'd be better off just telling the club the truth.

Although Holland, who suffered facial injuries after reportedly attempting to put Carroll into a taxi, has told the club he suffered the damage in a fall, the club has received reports that Carroll pushed or punched his teammate after a heavy drinking session.

Obviously the clubs doing it's own investigation, earlier media reports said a decision on his future wouldn't be made until the weekend, so hopefully we find out by Monday

From memory he still has another year on his contract...
I would rather keep him than pay him out... Ideally I would like to look for a trade -

Maybe part of the Robbie Warnock trade???

That would be ideal, but who would possibly consider Carroll

He is 'unemployable.'

Pretty much.

Regardless of whether we keep him or not, just don't play him. His slow, meandering "style" of play puts so many other players under pressure it isn't funny.

1) Maybe Carlton is interested because they need backline as well as Mark Riley factor - coached him before.

2) Maybe Hawks due to lack of backline support.

3) Maybe West Coast because he is Western Australian as well as Neale Daniher factor - coached him before.

Comments?

Carlton have Jamison and Thornton who are already better than Carroll.

If he stays on the list I will scream, but I have faith we'll get rid of him.

Not sure where NAthan Carroll goes from here...can't think of a club that would pick him up. We may be stuck with him because he still has one year to go on contract and we shouldn't be paying him off because we can't afford the $$$

It might be a worthwhile investment tho to lose him. Allows another kid to be picked up instead of pursuing with someone the club knows has no future.

Send him a copy of the Cranbourne line timetable because he'll be spending a lot of time at Casey Fields.

i know everyone on this forum is anti carroll. i think he still has a bit offer, yes he isnt the best behaved offield. but you cant run around with a team of skinny 19year olds against physical sides such as geelong, hawthorn. im sure young players such as garland grimes maric jones wona would feel a bit taller running out behyind blokes such as carroll miller and molony.

Why not play those kids? There better

It's not like Carroll is going to make a difference.

Go a big bastard as a mature age recruit or something then. Sign up some of the tanky Samoans from the international cup - that'll scare anyone to death. :D

2 of the players that have passed and replaced Carroll in our side are Warnock & Martin. Both of whom are mature aged recruits, both taller and heavier then Carroll. Warnock showed that he doesn't mind a bit of the roguh stuff when it's needed and Martin doesn't seem like the sort of lad who'd take a backwards step.

If that's all you want Carroll around for then there's no need to keep him

After carroll's great year in 06 he had become one of my favourite players. But his time is well and truely up, he is a flipping nuisence who will only teach our young players bad habits.

Unfortunatley it looks like he cant handle the drink just like his old man, we have no need for a inmature pest like him on the list.
