I happily take back everything I said.

This bloke definately deserves a spot in our side. :)

Gave Lloyd one hell of a beating.

Fantastic effort today, he deserves a spot on our list again.

It's amazing what an extra chance can do for a player!

Yep, I had written him off as I'm sure many others did. Good on him and hopefully he continues to improve and becomes a vital cog in our defence.

Shev, I think that everyone had pretty much ruled him out. I was expecting him to play out the rest of his days at Sandringham. His last few weeks have been exceptional. He's just what we need down back. A tough, quick, aggressive backman, who isnt afraid of a contest.

before you get too carried away, remember that Carroll was not really tested that much on the lead. Most of the time when the ball was near Lloyd, it was in a pack situation or on the ground. Carroll did fantastically whenever the ball did come to him but all I am saying is that we don't yet know how well he is going to fair when he comes up against a forward who is good on the lead and more importantly, has a good midfield to feed the ball to him.

with nicholson playing so well, what happens with Rivers?

perhaps
Carroll - Kingsley
Nicholson - Ablett
Rivers - Playfair

then you have fergy. i'm really not sure. atleast they don't have ottens

True, but he's still played well. He seems to have some pace about him, so hopefully he can match it with the fast leading forwards. The delivery from the bombers midfeild today wasnt anything to be desired, but Carroll could only work with what was there. And he won, hands down.

Loved seeing him getting stuck into Lloyd even before the bounce, how long since our backline had some AGGRESSION?

Anway, I'm off to Rebel at lunch time to buy an iron on 4 and a 1!

lol yup right.........

didnt he dominate last week?

give some credit where its due

lol, yes he did dominate last week, this week however he rolled his ankle after taking that first mark in the pocket and his ankle blew up considerably. after that time he was just a decoy. carrol and nicholson did play well so they do deserve credit. lloyd was injured, not trolling just a fact.

whether this is true or not, i am quite happy with Carrolls performance. Injured Lloyd or not keeping him to that sort of game is a great effort.

true but it wouldve been a greater effort had lloyd not been injured ;). Change of topic, who will geelong play on robertson? will they be smarter this time and put scarlett on him? should be a good game.

they have harley available this time and will use him if not Scarlett on Robbo.

In order for us to win this game we must go back to what we did in round 3 and push them out to the wings while we use the corridor, that was our best performance all year!!

in round 3 neitz somehow kicked 5 goals on scarlett

Hopefully we will have Miller back so that he can take a key defender. If Neitz gets up he shoudl occupy Scarlett, otherwise chuck Holland in the square and make him take a key defender. Hopefully we will have enough options so that Scarlett can't take Robertson.

Some possible match-ups

Godfrey-Ling
Robertson-Scarlett
Holland-Mooney
Whelan-Ablett
Yze-Milburn
Rigoni/Johnstone-Corey
Moloney-Bartel
Nicholson-Kingsley
Ablett-Carroll
Ferguson-Playfair
Green-Kelly

Just off the top of the head. Would Rooke play on Davey?
