**** me. This is the same Reid who wrote that letter?

The guy's the Club Doctor. You want to give him a free pass from the responsibilities. I know bad shit is going on, but I'm just going to write a stern letter and not give a shit what's going on after that.

But hey. He's an Essendon person, so he must be righteous.
Who said I wanted to give him a free pass?

I'm simply pointing out how little the regular contributors to this board actually know - hence pointing out foolish errors one after the other.

The funny thing is Hird is basically spot on with what he's saying, but the lack of self awareness is just astonishing.

The centralisation of power at Essendon into Hird (don't give me this matrix structure garbage) was what caused this mess.
Oddly, much as people hate Chip, to a point of refusing to read his book etc, I got the impression he suggested the same.

Ffs Hird was THIS close.

He doesn't even realise that 2016 is year of the fax.

Fax machines will make a comeback
Bloody brilliant if you ask me. I got sucked in way back with the 'bomb' officeworks home solution - print, scan and fax. The print and scan functions are frogshit - but I've never even used the fax. It could be the best ever

Based on what?

I'm seeing all kinds of projections (not predictions) based on desired outcomes and not so far has been reasonable.

Unless the person has some kind of in with the actual panel then their desired outcomes have no more validity than me flicking a coin - heads, they're gone, tails, they're clear. Frankly, the chance of THIS panel leaking to the AFL, club, journo or mate is essentially zero. This panel is comprised of people who are well above that level of bulltish.

Fact is nobody has a realistic clue about the eventual outcome.

The only prediction I think is a realistic chance of occurring is the repositioning of the burden of proof. I think AFL tribunal set it too high by dismissing the production of TB4 out of China when there weren't real grounds for dismissing the supplier's claims. Note that still doesn't put TB4 at the club.

We also do not have any knowledge of the evidence submitted, the arguments submitted by WADA around that evidence or even the context surrounding the supposed 'elevated levels'.

Unless somebody can fill in all or most of those gaps, they are just not in any position to predict any outcome

And please, after declaring last week that the CAS and WADA were corrupt if they find that the players have doped, you shouldn't be calling other posters like Muggs 'too stupid'.
As a mod, I assume you read everything that is posted in this thread.
If so, you would know that I have already addressed the false representation of my comments on CAS' bias towards favouring WADA's case, as an accusation of corruption.
You are deliberately perpetuating that untruth.

That Muggs was stupid was one of 3 options I suggested, given his misrepresentation of my post on the possible reasons for the players not declaring use of thymosin on their ASADA test declarations. Muggs himself replied with a post that was semi apologetic (or as close to it as he could bring himself to come) for misinterpreting my post.

Solid post.

I have no doubt that Richard Young presented a bloody good case - it's what he does. So when I hear 'wow! Young presented an outstanding case!' I can believe it. Everything I've seen from ASADAs prosecution says they set a really low bar to top.

Having said that, absolutely no one knows what the panel is thinking. I have NFI and don't pretend to.

I think that, with the exception of a few 'special' people on this board, we'll all just be happy to see this shit done with.
Well I think that, with the exception of "all" the Essendon fanatics on this board, everyone else will be happy only when WADA do what most reasonable people expect them to do: throw out the AFL tribunal findings and call it out for the farce that it was, find the club guilty and suspend the players appropriately.
Because, hey, if you can supposedly speak for every poster who has contributed to this thread then so can I...

Because all 'reasonable' people clearly think the tribunal, featuring two judges, did something unreasonable and, dare I say, corrupt.

You'll fit right in on the HTB, the truth is what you want it to be.

I was being a bit, shall we say, cheeky.

If EVERY rule breach meant a Brownlow must be stripped, we'd have no Brownlow medalist. And anti-doping breaches have never been part of the criteria for a Brownlow.

To answer your question, I suspect (and it is totally a guess) that in the event Jobe Watson is found guilty of a doping offense, the Brownlow will not be stripped unless CAS themselves order it (which I highly doubt).
Have you ever tried to take off the red and black glasses? Most of your posts are a delight to read: well researched, coherent and informative.
And then you post writing of the magnitude highlighted above.
Please provide details of a single instance in an individual or team sport where systematic and categorically illegal performance enhancing was proven to have taken place, and the individuals/teams were allowed to keep medals/prizes/bonus or anything of that ilk?
I only hope that Essendon are found guilty. To suggest that a proven cheat will be allowed to keep medal that correlates to the BEST and FAIREST performance across an entire season will require an enormous amount of blackmail and/or the work of a team of lawyers second to none. Of which Essendon can no longer afford.

You're 'trying' to point out. But almost without fail, you instead highlight your own foolishness. It's been one of the highlights of the HTB over the past few years.

I know Chip personally. Great dude. I don't hate him.
But, he's butchered this saga. And considering he was being drop fed info, it's a real shame he chose the angle that he did.

How's he butchered it more than anyone else? Was he not one of the only journos confident of a bomber win at the AFL tribunal (not that it matters now)? There's many more who have written more garbage than he has. Hi Caroooo
