FWIW.. I was tongue in cheek about Thompson 'leaking' to Caro.. I think it was AFL house source..

But she certainly has cracked the shits at Bomber over something...
He didn't properly brush his har before getting on the plane ....

"The following day a dishevelled-looking Thompson"

The consistent mention of Hird as coach is subtle but it's about time the club starting making some noise indicating that they're behind the coach of the footy club. The divided, fence sitting, media bungling that has taken place in the last few months and over the course of ASAGA has just served to provide more ammunition for the rabid dogs in the media.
So long as James is officially the coach he should be backed in publicly until such time as that changes, if the media don't like it, let them smoke an eel.

What i dont get is with all the publicity and stuff coming out about players wanting to play for him, him being a large part in why we got Cooney and a couple of re-signings surely they cant sack him and he will be coach next year.
This is the problem sacking him would have been pretty bad but it would have been over and shown that the board were decisive, yet now they are stringing it out and if they went and sacked him in 2 months or a day from now the fallout would be 10X worse all because they sat on their hands.

As soon as a club publicly backs their coach everyone speculates that they'll be sacked. It really doesn't change anything..

Presenting a united front and a consistent message would be a nice change from the shit we have been putting out lately. At a time where the club is under fire from all and sundry we should at least pretend we are all in the same page. Let the media speculate, but we don't need to feed the speculation with a chaotic and disorganised media statements and leaks.

Going to take the unpopular view here but i think Hird has to go simply because of the circus that now surrounds him. It will simply be
another year of distraction for the players in what will be a big year for them anyway. Rightly or wrongly the whole thing has become about Hird.
I just do not see how it goes away and it is at the point where if someone asks me who i support i simply say i don't follow the AFL as i am sick
of hearing peoples uninformed media fed rubbish opinions on the matter.
The fact is Hird's brand has been damaged. It may not be right that he has been convicted by the media and forced to take a penalty he did not want to
but he has which in turn fuels their crap stories every time he is near the club and the circus rolls on. They say they want it to end but they will continue to flog the crap out of it for ever.

I did not have a problem with the recent court challenge. Despite the crap in the paper it served its purpose in getting some info out of ASADA and
also getting an agreement that ASADA would hand over evidence to the players.
However i do not think we should appeal. It is time for ASADA to do what they are going to do and the players take them on over not actually
taking anything illegal which seems to be lost in all the bullshit that is going on. Time to get to the guts of the problem and that is there is no actual
proof or positive swab and only a case based on circumstance involving the wording of a text message.
Have done a "Dan Andrews" back flip on this.
Club should get on the front foot and officially say Hird is the man and will be the man to lead us forward. End the questions.
Too late now to be sitting on the fence.

THE 34 current and former Essendon players facing doping charges will finally see the evidence against them, with reissued show-cause notices expected to arrive on Friday.

Right, let's nip these in the bud and put it all behind us.

Except Ryder.... Guilty as sin, 2 years minimum ;-)

I'm glad.. the quicker they can get the notices.. the quicker they can end this shit..

Either they fight and win.. or they take some BS backdated deal and be back ready in time for Round 1..

I think they are ready for the fight.. so bring it on.
