Has this whole saga and the treatment we have suffered from all and sundry turned anyone else a bit cold hearted and lacking any empathy when it comes to opposition teams?
I mean I don't wish injuries on players, but I don't feel any sympathy on other clubs when I hear about injuries and tough luck stories. A few seconds later I will feel bad for the player, but when I first hear it, I feel it is just a touch of karma for the opposition club and supporters.

This will probably dilute over time, but at the moment I just don't give a **** what happens to opposition clubs. I have no sympathy for them.

I daresay Bigfooty is mostly to blame for this, it is a haven for opposition mongoloids and we are our own worst enemy by linking and commenting on every piece of negative press, so at times it just seemed like a big ASADA whirlpool. Thankfully the real world is not that bad, and once I spend a bit of time removed from this drugs scandal, my views will soften.

It is madness that players are having their careers potentially ruined for energy drinks and taking coke in the off-season.
I would have thought this whole schemozzle would have shown up how poorly the ASADA codes fits AFL and the like. The AFL should just go back to managing this themselves. These two could be given an 11 match ban, based on the accidental nature of the offense and we move on. It's madness that a body and act set up for Olympic Athletes operating to events that only occur 4 years apart is applied to a seasonal team sport.
Because every PED user would then claim they snorted tainted cocaine, smoked tainted ice pipe, took a shot of tainted tequila and so on...you set a precedence allowing such an excuse...and this line of excuse is pathetic. These drugs are illegal for the general community - no sympathy or discounts for mine.

Has Ahmed Saad's career been ruined? No - he's back playing at his original club.

Kaiser Powser, that's pretty much why you took a hiatus from the forum until the decision was handed down, wasn't it?

BigFooty isn't representative of the real world, as much as some might try and say otherwise.
Yep, although I didn't just take a hiatus from posting on Bigfooty I took a hiatus from everything footy related.

I did however follow this thread pretty closely, and it gave me this feeling...

The last fortnight though, with stirring victories over Hawthorn and ASADA has rekindled my love for the game, as many around me are pointing out.

Mate I feel the same. The way the AFL community isolated/abused and punished one of its stake holders beggers belief.
Only recently, since the EFC have had the opportunity, have us supporters been acknowledged by the club and the club alone in the wake of the HAwthorn victory. There has been no acknowledgement from the AFL, the media or any other club they tried their best to batter our club into submission.

They can all get ******, and can get ****** for a long time to come.

Hearing that decision against Dank may be handed down tomorrow. My prediction is 25 breaches of the anti-doping code and a life ban.

If Dank wins it will be a SLAM DUNK
If Dank loses it will be a SLUM DANK

Thank you. I'll get my coat shall I?

I do recall the discussion on 1st/2nd April about what do we do with our time now, and good ol' 2048 was brought up. As per my response at the time, this is about as far as I can get. I'd love to see know if anyone has reached 8192.

My 16 y.o. daughter has reached 8192. But she's a bit of a whizz tbh.

I see no problem with players having a crack at proving the clen came from concaine, but it'd be pretty much impossible because cocaine isn't the same as clen used in meat where others have proved it came from.

While clen used in steak would be normal in China, clen cutting cocaine would not happen all the time, they'd pretty much need to still have the gram bag at home with some of the cocaine with clen in it and prove that it was the same batch that they had when the were tested. They just won't be able to prove it.

There is no point having a crack at proving it is from cocaine, it would not get them out of the charge. It specifically states that use to cut drugs cannot be used as an excuse, whereas contaminated meat can.

Hard to envisage ASADA appealing. It's sounding like they couldn't even back up their claims of what Dank was up to at Essendon. Let alone their accusations against the players.

Little wonder McDevitt was a shattered man during his rant on April Fools day. The guy has made an absolute arse of himself throughout this fiasco. "ASADA has very strong case" - yeah sure McDevitt you tosser

Im not arguing what he can be convicted on, Im not saying he shouldnt be.

I am commenting that for all their talk of an absolute slam dunk case with various and numerous charges brought against him, we still havnt received any indication on when a judgement will be found.
ASADA's appeal time is fast running out and from the outside looking in the idea that a judgement isnt being handed down deliberately until after this expires is not the most far out idea that people have had.
The Dank case is probably more complex, and it may be that the two cases didn't run parallel as many suggested.

Possibly Dank's case is not a slam dunk. I have never been convinced that Dank's was certain to be found guilty.

Agree - A penalty between 8 weeks and 16 weeks is sufficient.
