... and what of Dean Robinson. He was part of the program and specifically the consent forms which listed Thymosin.

He knew, approved and encouraged the Thymosin stuff. He admitted to injecting himself with CJC. He gave Bock the same drug.

Is this world gone mad and he's walked away with a shit load of cash.

Do i think they took a banned substance, no i do not. Dank was fired for over spending the budget well before any of this came out. If you believe some of the whispers that money was being used to buy product for his online chemist and for buying steriods for his gym customers but was blurred into the Essendon program. When he was fired there was no idea from a great number at Essendon that anything else was going on with the players.
I doubt they where given everything on the so called list but in saying that there where a few things that are legal they should not have touched either.
Good post, especially tI said in previous post that I think Dank did give them TB4 to bolster performance and hence his reputation. But using Essendon $$ to supply his own business could have happened and that could also explain why he won't just come out and admit everything so he's not charged for theft.

Could go both ways, but CAS did not even consider it, they went on their hunch. Gotta be something more concrete to label a guy a drug cheat for life.

Yeah but we have less currency now considering what happened to the players under our watch. Hooker and Myers will probably walk. Colyer, Hurley will ask to be traded and possibly a few others.
hooker and myers are the 2 i am really worried and to a lesser extend Colyer. Hooker being a free agent makes it really tough if Teams come hard at him which they will. Hurley im alot more confident about/

I am curious as to the extent of the AFL's accountability to the players. Most officials of the club have been expelled or fallen on their sword for crimes that range from heinous to grossly negligent but how responsible is the AFL?

Surely if they are in any way accountable to its employees then they would have to face ramifications? Safe workplace and all that. It wouldn't even matter if the media chose to keep things in the dark. There would be severe penalties. Jobs would have to go.

I'm frightened we are going to have to endure a sanctimonious, condescending "we'll hold your hand and guide you through this" mentality of the AFL as opposed to a "we've all done things we are not proud of (some more than others). Lets work through this together" mentality.

Also; is there any chance of a federal inquiry into the conduct and practices of the AFL or at the very least an internal review? I know the answer to that.

This is one element that consistently boils my blood. It's an absolute outrage that the actual people who are at the coalface of what went wrong are treated more lightly than the people subject to wrongdoing.

I suppose they should be held accountable for the ignorance all players in general had as far as the WADA code goes. Obviously they do a lot of drug stuff with the young blokes but it would seem that most players across the leauge have not had a full understanding of the rules.

They will have now.

I think I am looking at a broader perspective. The issue of negligence. Hird has been under the blowtorch the last few years about what he saw, what he should have seen, and what he should have done. But how far up the chain does it go? If the players are AFL employees that makes the AFL the employer (obviously). And so it goes. Does it make the AFL responsible and therefore does it make the AFL negligent?

What makes you think those players? Hooker refused to be traded from Essendon and has stood up and lead throughout this saga. Myers gave the bird in late 2013. If they did not already have an issue with the club and are considering their options on the verdict then that says to me they are still united.

If the club pay them this year and they get a good paid holiday then they could come back in good spirits.

The players no longer at the club however, they are likely to consider their legal position against the club IMO.

And what of Paul Hamilton who was his manager? If that's right he works for the AFL at AFL Victoria.

Took a couple of days off.

A sick manipulated decision that has only been done to ensure WADA precedence for future cases.

I am absolutely gutted for the players that not have only been already punished more than enough but now have to take another year off. Based on evidence that simply does not exist.

Absolutely ******* disgusting.

All we can do is re group and sign on to show our support.

I sincerely hope the players find a way of appealing this horse shit but the mere fact its a manipulated outcome has totally ****** with my vibe.

Some of the banned players have already gone to Europe i believe this was almost part of the plan for some/most with worse case scenario.

Id say the club has paid for a trip for them and partner to get away for some time
Maybe they are doing an MBA in France? That's what the club did last time someone got banned..

Dank messaging the Melbourne doc regarding thymomodulin jabs and aod cream for use on Deed.
Haven't you read the AFL memo?

Melbourne, Gold Coast and Geelongs links were looked at and everything was hunky dory ok, so no need to ask those pesky questions, if you want to keep your accreditation.

Essendon CAS verdict: Dons seek appeal loophole
Bitterly disappointed by season-long suspensions, current and former Essendon players have their lawyers exploring avenues for legal action that might overturn the verdict.

the switzerland court would be rigged.

There is no way that they would over turn a CAS ruling regardless of how manipulated the decision was.

unless its done in Australia i doubt it would happen

Good. Nothing left to lose.

Has anyone sent Evans a thank you ham for putting us in checkmate before this thing even got started? Maybe we should chip in and get him a membership to sit amongst the EFC faithful for every painful ******* game this season. I'm
Sure he would welcome the break from his lucrative business ventures with Vlad and co and appreciate spending time supporting the club he loves so dearly.
