Just watched Robbo attempting to justify himself on 360.
I don't think I have a problem with what he has done. This is not the same as The Age editorializing about our people. The Herald is simply reporting (most unsatisfactory) facts. Fact is that the 12 players are named in that cluster **** of an interim report which has been far too widely published and they're not protected by confidentiality they're supposed to have.
It's just the latest example of how ****** up this situation is which has been the line the Herald Sun has been running since day 1. Robinson may well be an Essendon supporter but he has not supported Essendon throughout any of this, he has come to savage the process. I agree that if he could identify the information he should publish it.
There has probably been a bit of an overreaction to the impact of naming the players anyway. They're all good players and they're all going to be called cheats when they play well regardless of their being named in a Herald Sun article. That is the fault of everyone involved throughout this saga except, unfortunately, the players.
I just wish Robbo could express himself better under pressure.
