Reckon he was just backing his mate up. Plenty of others passed on the op to go with that story, says a bit.

I'd want to know the conditions on which the report was leaked before giving the rest of the industry too much credit.

Given that the AFL leaked (probably the whole report) to Fairfax it is likely that the leak was on the condition that the players were protected meaning that Fairfax was not in a position to use the players names. Say what you want about the AFL but it did act to protect the players it knew the club had let down (or that's what it thought it was doing).

I don't believe that Essendon/Hird would not have required the same condition if we leaked the interim report to the Sun (not that I believe that we'd want anyone to see that report).

He's being too coy about it. The reason he published was because he can and he just doesn't want to say it.
Robbo's employer measures his performance by how many newspapers they sell - pure and simple - even if Robbo would have you believe things like discretion and ethics apply.

Don't see why that is likely as I think the shoulder shrug from that AFL regards the leak & publication of names tells everyone all they need to know about how much the AFL 'cares' at this point.

For all we know Robbo's source could be the bin he was rummaging through when lo & behold he found a copy of the interim report (along with half a hot dog & 2 winnie blue butts) - god knows it appears there were/are enough copies of the ******* thing floating about for this to have happened.

How would they prove what the burrito juice was if it was an unlabelled bottle with no paper trail? For all ASADA know it was actually burrito juice and not some potent combination of steroids.

Has there ever been any accusation that what was administered was illegal? I think it was meant to represent the haphazard, reckless and dangerous nature of our supplements program.

Has any reporter actually said they had the information prior and didn't go with the story? While I think we all assume that Caro has read the report, do we know for sure that it was the full report or did it have the names blacked out?
Apparently about 50 people had non redacted versions of the interim report, if this is true I would like to know why the official status of aod9604 in 2011 has not been leaked.

Why so many copies. But in any case, if there were 50 distributed one of those recipients leaked the information. If the AFL or ASADA actually gave a rats toss bag they could work their way through the 50 and work out who the snitch is.

Richard Ings said in the vicinity of 50. Robbo reckons he hasn't seen it, Tony Sheahan reckons he has, so if that no name has seen it I'm guessing it's freely available.

AD's hard sell on the Adelaide Oval is a joke. Clutching at straws...useless. That was his big sell apart from appealing to the fairer sex! Damn. Is it only me or is he trying to get off scott free??? Maybe he is trying to soften the blow of the federal Court which he should receive!!!

Yeah man. Known him since 83.
Good guy, can tend to get a little over passionate.
If he didn't use the information that he gets to big note himself then I'd be a lot less annoyed with him. He's not the only person who gets inside information from being friends with people at the club, or for being involved with the club.

Edit: I know him too.

Fair enough. Not everyone's cup of tea.

Then you'd know what a rough time he has had lately.

Whils papers are in investigative mode why don't they name the 11 other clubs. Dr Larkins (yes he's a knob) said at the tiem that report was released that 3 other clubs had used "extensive needle programs". Wouldn't a journo be even slightly curious? Strange.

Only way for them to find out is by interviewing Dr Ageless or whoever it was that ran the joint, which they've done. We haven't heard much about it since it originally broke.

Honestly, I think the nacho fajita enchilada liquid will turn out to be nothing, but we'll see.
