Matthews - swapped between forward and on ball and was one of the more likely types in my opinion. He's got some dynamism and there's a fair bit to like about how he plays in spite of his small stature.
McDonald - played key defender and struggled a bit as he was often matched up on a smaller, more agile player and I suspect his man kicked the most goals.
Adams - was another of the tall backs and I thought acquitted himself better than Tmac. Took some nice marks and didn't have some of the howlers he's had in prior matches, or many if any goals kicked on him that I can recall.
White - first game as a Melbourne listed player and he didn't have much influence. He rucked early and also played as a tall forward and I saw less of him as the game went on. Potentially on managed minutes.
Berry - he played as a defender and didn't get involved much. He had a couple of solid disposals but he's not showing a huge amount just yet. I think his body has a fair bit of work required.
Mentha - was in the backline and I thought he started brightly with a bit of run and carry but as the game wound on he wasn't seen as often. He finished the game with some stints on the wing and had a couple of nice moments but he looks a fair way off an AFL debut.
Onley - played half back and wing and I can't recall any time in the midfield for him whereas he did have stints there in prior games. Let himself down with his kicking although it got a bit better late in the game when the heat was off.
Henderson - swapped between forward and on ball, seemingly a lot more midfield in the second half than forward. He was OK but nothing that suggests he should be up in the seniors.
Kentfield - split his time between ruck and key forward and started the game well but really faded and hardly touched it in the second half. I don't think he was helped with his teammates' kicking to him at times when forward, but he didn't knock the door down for a recall.
Moniz-Wakefield - he was OK without being great as a small defender who got a fair amount of ball as the exit player from the backline. He had a couple of clanger moments too.
Not Melbourne listed, but a special mention for Ah Mu. Kicked a few goals and had some quite frightening (for surrounding players) flies at the ball. I'm sure his endurance and agility would test sub par for AFL but if he can slim down a bit and retain most of his strength he'd be an interesting watch as a forward prospect who can relief ruck.
