Since your gutsy & determined win over Mauresmo, you are now the highest ranked Australian Female Tennis Player. Win or lose (hopefully another win) in the next round sees you now ranked in the top 30 in the wrold.

You truly are an inspiring story & I only hope that like yourself, The Mighty Blue Boys will show as much Guts & Determination as you this year !

I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but I expect Casey to be the latest Aussie women's player to have the weight of the world thrown on her shoulders because she won a couple of good matches, and to not be heard from again. It's happened before, and I've little doubt it'll happen again.

She's welcome to prove me wrong though.

I know Casey very well and have travelled with her numerous times on states teams etc.
She is a really nice girl and a HUGE carlton fan, whenever Im back in Perth she talks about meeting the guys and she also has carlton number plates last time I saw her!

Hopefully she can beat the serb and the #3 seed! would be huge,

Well she has but I think this is her 5th crack but the first time she has performed well. Good luck to her for persisting. And yes there is a danger she will now sink under the waves and not be heard of again. Handy $85K but.

She did have her chances, however, she just seemed to over-hit the ball when she was going for a winner. Still, a great effort by Carltons own Casey.

She didnt seem to be herself tonight. She didnt smile as much and didnt give herself encouragement when she hit her winners like in the previous matches.
She did very well to get to the 3rd round and she will learn from this.
