Looks like Bakerdog's season is officially over

Re: Wall - played in the state team, been very serviceable and reliable all year, but not sure he'd be picked up. Has been on both the Swans and Saints rookie lists previously.

This week www.doublex.com.au will be streaming the Casey v Coburg (4th v 6th) clash live from 1PM Saturday.

This game will also be on relay to those in the Moorabbin area on 87.6 FM

Due to unforseen circumstances - 3XX no longer broadcast on 1611 AM - and that frequency was shut down at 6pm Thursday Night.

It will still be the same 3XX calling crew but just on the net for the last two rounds.

We will also be taking your SMS questions during the call like last week.

Peter (from 3XX - Formerly on 1611 KHz)

I watched the second half on tv and was pretty impressed. McEvoy looks a likely type, marked well and kicked some nice goals. Armitage went hard at it and while was not the best on ground was pretty damaging when he got it. Fisher played good from what i saw. I thought Ferguson played great in the backline, was leading the forwards to the ball and made some good punches and took some good marks. Geary played a great half. Only real let down was Firoa, not many touches for him and didn't do a lot. (all my thoughts are based on the second half)

I agree - was BOG for me. Pity that he was called for holding the ball which led to the decisive goal...

I thought he was okay, even if not great. He did clean up that young tagger that gave Dal Santo such a hard time in his VFL experience earlier this year...

Bloody ABC showed the Devils game instead today under the misguided belief that people actually care about them.

But anyway Big Ben kicks 3 but not in the best? How did those who saw it view his game, and how was his ruckwork? Will he play again this year?

No way Fisher was BOG.

Armo, Macca & Fergie all good. Very impressed by Macca's mobility and kicking. Still not impacting in the ruck but looks a great prospect as a forward.

Thought Chivers wasn't too bad (quite aggressive).

They obviously missed Silvagni and also with X & Birss not playing.

Kicked a ripper in the third - strong grab and kick from the boundary. From memory he had a good quarter, but didn't impact in the last.

I found it hard to tell what was going on, such was the love-in for Coburg from one of the commentators (can't remember his name - but I guess he was forgettable).

Ok, I'll waste another 5-10 mins typing something I'd already typed, but I feel the need to post my thoughts lol.

Allen: Pretty good, kicked 4.3. Took a couple nice grabs, kicked a beauty from the boundary line, think it was luck though, didn't have the right spin goin on the ball, just had enogh straight line power and the right angle to get it through. (Yeah I know my kicks from the boundary line.)

McEvoy: Didn't do much in the ruck, but was a powerful presence up forward. Kicked 3.0, from three awesome kicks. Took a few good marks as well, also had a nice pickup, wheel around a kick to Allen which resulted in a goal. I liked that, showed somethin magical which you need to get somewhere in AFL.

Armitage: Wasn't sited till halfway through the second quarter. Ended up with about 25 touches. Had a few good runs through the middle, linking up with others. Great tackling, really hurts the opponent with his tackles, although some are a little 'too' rough, if I can say that about AFL... Kicked a goal. And got into someones ear Barry Hall style after a great tackle. Should be in the 1s, not sure why he isn't. Absolute legend in the making.

Gears: Pretty good, nice running off half back. Kicked a couple goals.

Fisher: Didnt do much for the first half, got a bit of it in the second. No where near BOG.

Fiora: Skills are a level above, he jst doesn't get it enough to be damaging.

Chivers: Not sure what to say about this guy, I didnt even know he was a KPP backman. But he did alright, you could say he probably beat Hughes as he only kicked 1 goal, but was beaten in the aerial contests a couple times. Did alright for a guy I didnt know who was, and was playing in caseys reserves 2 weeks ago.

Stevo: Had a few touches, 15 maybe? Looked pretty good, doesn't mind snapping on his left it seems, kicking a goal (but advantage wasnt paid) and missed with another from 30. But missed an important one from 15 out in the last. He's a good in an under player though, good tackling, fast. He looks the goods.

Have I missed anyone?

Ferguson ?

(nice work so far even albeit possibly a bit over-enthusiastic about Armitage)

Not possible! :p

Ferguson: Took a few good grabs in defence, a few good touches. Showed nothing to really push for selection next week, or in the finals. Still he's probs a better option that Charlie, as he's a good contested mark, and is versatile.

i thought armitage was the best for casey although he looked a bit proppy from a tackle in about the last minute of play and had a limp
other good players were macca as a forward, strong mark and good kicking.
ferguson and geary also had good games

Yeah, I was really worried (and thats an understatement) about Armo when I saw him helped up by trainers and start hobbling along...But he seemed alright when he was shaking hands with the opposition, probs just rolled it.

Alex Silvagni has been out due to injury for the last two weeks but is expected back next week and the finals campaign. Thank God

will casey recieve a home final, if so, might go down for a squiz, just down the road from me, wanna see some of the guys,

A.Silvagni to Essendon 2009:D (only hope) we delisted another 2 tall defenders this week.

You could probably get Ferguson and Rix from StKilda in exchange for an 8th round draft pick and a can of magic beans.
