Frankston with the first 2 goals. Casey look as bad as Melbourne on the overlap.

Kel Lawrence been lively. But missed his first opportunity, pushed it across the face

Fitzy takes a very good mark diving in the pocket, not payed. Quick snap by blease I think and Casey has a major on the board.

Blease gets the ball off half back, runs well, but in typical fashion doesn't realize he is in trouble until too late and stuffs the kick as a result.

Davis been solid in defense, tynan trying to provide a bit of run, but not getting used well, needs to demand it!

Qtr time and frankston lead by a point.


As you can probably tell from the scoreboard it's a series of wasted opportunities by Casey, whilst frankston made the mostof theirs.

Fitzy very good in the ruck and presented well when forward. Lawrence very good up forward, but could have 2 goals on the board by now.

Morton went back to being a Morton after a couple of good things and made a few trademark stuff ups.

Clearance from throw in through couch, to tapscott to Morton, inside 50 and no 9 for Casey finishes with a good goal. Casey hits the lead 1 minute into second term

Frankston hit back after a few minutes to take the lead. Casey ball use has been shocking in the last 5 minutes.


Tapscott absolutely hates losing, and hates making a mistake even more. It's good to see

Couch intercepts off half back, switches play very well and it ends up a good mark inside 50 for Casey, but no40 misses everything. Couch intercepts the return again, goes long from 55 but pushes it across goal.

Stoppage on forward 50, fitzy to couch, handballs to Morton, good kick towards goal and no11 for Casey marks and kicks truely.

Fitzy wins the hitout back in the middle, ball goes forward again for Casey. But a free kick given away and frankston send it back towards the wing

As ive said in another thread... we desperately need a small forward who can crumb and chase... Its heartening at least to hear that lawrence is playing well!

Another stoppage toreador Casey. Couch snaps but it's touched on the line.

Great work by tynan through the middle on the return, forces a turnover, distributes well and fitzy finishes with a great mark and he converts it as well. Good play there!

Great transition goal by Casey to finish the half.

Kick from back pocket by Morton, Casey spreads really well to the open side, use the ball well down the wing, contest in the forward pocket, ball spills and good cringing goal to no32 for Casey.

Couch, fitzy and Lawrence been very good in first half for Casey. Tynan and tapscott some very good things, and Morton has done some good and some bad. Blease is getting too easily lost in traffic by his opponent, and doesn't try and punish the opposition when it's turned over

Couple of stuff ups by Casey sees frankston kick the first goal of the third term. Lawrence drops the ball in the middle of the ground on the rebound then fitzy got too easily outmaneuvered.


Casey not moving well after half time, but work it out eventually and get a point through fitzy. Frankston kick it OOF and the return kick into caseys 50 hits fitzy on the lead, but he kicks it OOF on the far side. Casey by 3 points

Good play by Casey on the rebound, good precise football ends with a goal. Couchy gets the next clearance and bombs it forward. Been locked in caseys 50 for a while
