The Casey Scorpions, as the regions premium football organisation, is seeking "Expressions of Interest" for open age female
footballers to join our club as inaugural players in 2017. Our club will in 2017 field its first ever senior female football team and play out of our VFL Oval facility here at Casey Fields, the regions premium football facility. Our Expressions of Interest is open to all present/past female footballers and those who currently participate in other sports and are looking to take up an AFL pathway.
We as a club currently provide elite pathways for men as a VFL club, being runners up in the 2016 VFL season and most recently providing 3 VFL players to AFL clubs through the November drafts. We now envisage being able to provide a similar pathway to female footballers in the coming years.
An information night will be held next Wednesday 14th December at 7.30pm in the clubs Function room here at Casey Fields to provide players with details about our female football program for 2017.
