Sounds like it was a good game. Pretty average fadeout from Casey in the last, great effort from Port to get back into it.

Yeah blease played today. Apart from one or two bad decisions I thought he played quite well

Blease had a slight concussion and then struggled in the heat after that last week. I'd go easy on him.

It's funny how the results, goalkickers and best players are up on the websites of the VAFA, SFL and EFL, but the VFL are dragging the chain.

Emoland peoe reporting the gillies went dow n in the first half and we played out the game a rotation down, might explain the fade out.

Only in the vfl can you have your team lose and still hear your theme sound

Gillies has a hammy or groin strain (I suspect hammy) but yes it was weird to be walking out of the ground hearing your club song but having lost lol

Second is that, while I'm not sure how he kicked them or the influence he had on the game, Dawes backed up from last week and kicked 3 and got through the game. Both big positives from the game.

Also, even though I'm not a fan of his AFL output to this point, Fitzy clearly deserves a chance up forward also if there is room.

I'm still not convinced he has the body to match it with the bigger defenders in the AFL but his form is hard to ignore. If they can fit him in then do it, but with Gawn and Spencer already there and Dawes ahead of him he might still struggle for a spot.

Having watched Jack a fair bit at Casey, I reckon he's got a few more tricks than what he is being given credit for. But as you mentioned in an earlier post, we've seen little of it at AFL level. If Sellar, Pedersen or Gillies(I know TG is a defender) play ahead of Fitzy again, I'll spit chips!!!

As in he shouldn't have played at all. Every week I hear about another player who's played through injury whenever they've underperformed. If they're not fit, don't play them.

No I think the point was he was 100 fit when he started but that hit he took early in the first took away his impact
