Scorps lead by 37 points at 3/4 time after kicking 11 goals to 3 for the term. Hogan has 4 while Pedersen, Fitzy and Taggert all chipped in with goals for that quarter as well.

After today he is well entrenched in the top 10 of the VFL goal kicking as one of the youngest players in the comp. Great signs.

Hogan with 5...yikes.

He's going to pull best defender come Rd1 2014...

Which will have Clark and Dawes giddy with excitement as they pull second and third talls to feast on. ;)

If we can get the midfield right it's going to be an absolute nightmare for defenders. There's no defence in the AFL that can handle that sort of forward line.

Good to see Casey bounce back. I'll be heading down next week to watch as its close to home for me

When will he get a game?
Jack Fitzpatrick - Jack played a key role in the side's win, kicking an excellent goal from the boundary to help seal the game. He finished with 5 goals straight for the game and clearly made the most of his opportunities, he also supported Jake as the 2nd ruck and had 19 hit outs.
2014 please hurry up.

Jesse Hogan - Jesse's workrate was outstanding, his ability to cover the ground and get off his opponent is really promising. Jesse proved a handful for the Geelong defenders kicking 5.1 and taking 7 marks for the game. Most pleasing was his willingness to chase and tackle and apply genuine pressure on the opposition.

5 goals, 19 H/O's.

Yeeeeah, but Jack needs to work on his defensive side.

**** off.

Yeah, his consistent performances and Gawn struggling up forward has won me over - should get a real crack at it over the next couple of weeks his height and athleticism could cause real headaches.

and he has missed a game or two hasnt he? thats what makes it even more impressive.

I know you guys are having a shit year but as a cats fan i went and had a look at the VFL game yesterday and i know you may not think a lot of your side at the minute. But Jesse Hogan is the future of your club. I am not sure i have ever seen a better young key forward. You guys should should and probably are super exited about him. Shame you have to wait till next year for him to play. He is a ripper he just seems to want to impose himself on the contest. I am exited about watching him.

I am very excited, for one. How's his attitude when he plays, good pressure, talks a lot, hard bastard etc.?

Encouraging:

Cameron Pedersen - Cam played as a key defender for the entire game, he played a similar game to the week prior, 23 touches, 10 marks, 12 spoils and kicked a terrific goal from 60m out in the 3rd quarter. Overall, his impact was very good.

I don't like him, but he's on the list until the end of 2014 at the very least (depends how much Neeld/Harrington offered him) so we'd better get around him a bit.

Kind of seems like some guys who are hopeless in the seniors are far better players in the VFL, I know its a different standard, but still, Casey must have a game style and team ethic that enables them to show what they've got. Might explain to some extent why some guys keep going from Casey to the seniors and back again.

Casey would give the Seniors a good shake.

Straight in for Sellar or Dunn. Had enough of Lynden Dumb.

I'd drop Sellar before Dunn, but knowing Neeld, not only will they will both stay, but Gillies will replace Nicholson this week.
He'll replace Terlich, as Terlich is injured. Nicholson is useless enough to stay in the side.

You guys realize that Casey are playing Melbourne's game plan?

And that the majority of their team are Melbourne listed?

Their key forwards, backs and most of their mids are?
