Sporadic updates.

Casey up by a couple of goals midway through second quarter.

Rosman looking much more involved playing half back/wing.

Bedford (1 goal) and Chandler (2 goals) both lively on half forward flanks. Bedford agility and pace a stand out a couple of times.

Howes has a real burst of pace on him.

Other Demons so far.

Melksham classy as expected at this level playing in midfield.

Laurie has only had a few involvements.

Daw was prominent early as starting ruck and should’ve kicked a goal but missed after a mark 15 out directly in front.

Deakyn Smith hasn’t done much, was in McDonald-Tipungwuti when he kicked a goal.

Mitch Brown one goal but not too involved playing deep forward.

Woewodin not that involved so far.

McVee has looked solid in the backline.

we seem to be playing a bit of a 'pagans paddock' style at times out there today without the marking targets of Weid and Van Rooyen in the team.

Sensible tactics given the wind (which Casey has in the third quarter) and the amount of foot speed in Casey’s team compared to Essendon.

bit of Jack Gunston about Howes imo.

Daw having an “almost” game. He’s been quite effective as the main ruck and then playing a bit forward, but he’s missed several opportunities to kick goals.

He almost clunked a big mark directly in front there too.

HE HAS SPENT NO TIME AS A BACKMAN!

Looks like Rosman is having a dark quarter. Fumble as mentioned earlier leading to a goal. Caught holding it on the wing, then didn’t judge one well and got out marked in the backline and gave away a 50 to make the goal certain after complaining over and over that he touched the ball and it shouldn’t be a mark.

you also forgot the one where he fell in the back/high he gave away inside 50 but luckily the bloke missed his shot on goal.

Baker fast, McDonald-Tipingwuti was hardly gaining on him while Baker was streaming out of the backline with the ball.

Dunstan misses after the siren from about 45 on a slight angle. Casey up 78-61.
thought Baker was gone then but he burnt Tippa off.
