To the ones who have said they wouldn't, does this extend to picking up at a party or whatever, and not neccessarily having sex, but just letting your fingers do the walking or getting a blowie or something along those lines?

I hope no one here has any moral objections to 'letting your fingers do the walking or getting a blowie' as Ruddi so nicely put it. Surely everyone would do that, wouldn't they??? Or am I naive with an immoral outlook??

Ooooh looky at what I've been missing whilst away......

Sorry guys - have to resurface this one ;)

My questions are

1) Why do some people see sex as "an act of love"
2) Why is it only "moral" to have sex within a "loving" relationship (keeping in mind that it wasnt long ago that sex was frowned upon if you didn't have a wedding ring on your finger)...

Are these merely rules society has placed upon us to follow, such as the assumption that all females are looking for a husband and will bear children during their lifetime??????

The fact is, that sex is nowadays about pleasure, not about reproduction as it once was. Don't believe me? Pick up a copy of Cosmo, Cleo etc etc and I guarantee there will be at least one article with the intention of helping you "improve" your sex life. Does this then mean that these mags are of low moral content? Highly unlikely - they would not be freely displayed at the end of supermarkets registers if that were the case.

If a person is not being hurt emotionally, physically or financially, where's the harm in two consenting adults enjoying each others company? Why is society fixed on all this long term focus?

Think about this who is it that sets morals - religions perhaps? and what if the majority of society doesnt follow the one religion what happens then? Ahhhh yes, that is right - we are all forced to follow one set of so called morals. Hardly fair is it........

HIP HIP HOORAY!!!! Some sense at last!

Bee, I think some of the attacks on you were a little harsh, but why are your morals 'Higher' than anyone else's because you don't want to have casual sex?

Improve on your "bad" score of 26 and I'll consider voting for ya! ;)

Well on recount that went to 27 - which for someone who won't touch any drug harsher than alcohol, and who is has a respect for the law.

Oh and if shoplifting from your parents shope counts - you can make it 28......

Ummmmm and if there's any offers for sex in a moving vehicle - I think I can easily add another 2 there (I can throw in a moon to a passer by)...heck - lets make it with a chick - then I can get my tally well into th 30's

Hows that ;)

Casual sex is not a great issue and it hardly goes against your moral standing if you have it. I also think it is not reflective of current times that the church condemns sex before marriage and thus casual sex.

I come from a strong catholic background and view their thinking as in the dark ages regarding these issues. In the current society casual sex is widespread and denying it exists (which Catholics do) underlines this outdated logic.

There are far worse things that go against your morals and no one should feel guilty when they have casual sex.

The majority of peers I hang around view this as the norm too and I would consider them of good morals and background. At this stage in life people aren’t ready for a mental relationship so a physical relationship can’t be wrong.

I don’t think I’m less of a person because I had casual sex. It is also harsh for people to make you feel guilty about this by attacking your morals.

If you get the opportunity to have casual sex, take it.

I think we've found your deputy! :D

Hey if your John Howard I'm going to be no Peter Costello.

My score is in the 30's, that is because I stopped counting. I might lead my own party.

I am one bad boy.

I never said they were. Everyone else is saying that. I never suggested my morals were higher than anyone else's. Someone else attacked me for being on a "high moral horse" I did not say nor do I believe my morals are higher than yours or anyone elses. Trust me I know my morals are questionable at times!
All I did was state my opinion on it and got attacked for it. If all the others can have their belief then surely I am entitled to mine.
Frankly I don't care what anyone else does, but I am not going to sit quietly while someone tells me to get of my high moral horse because they didn't like what I said.
It's what I believe and I am sticking to it!
