Josh Hunt * 3

Kent Kingsley 3

I was hoping that Nathe could pop up for one against WCE. He surely stood out!

Pretty good night for us really, Moons was better than that, so to Enright and Milburn.

A few points:

1. How the ******** did Ling get three against Melbourne? RR should have been a monty. Ling fumbling, dropping marks and turning it over turned the game in the dees favour!

2. Enright didn't get a vote for his 30 possession, 12 mark, 2.2 goal game against North. He got jibbed on a couple of other games too.

3. How on earth Bassett outpolled Scarlett I'll never know.

4. Jimmy BOG v. WB

$20 down the drain!

I don't think he polled against WC either did he?

I'm surprised they (rightfully) gave Rooke the 3, I didn't give the maggots that much credit, I thought that one was Jimmy's.

The Brownlow again proved that Gary Ablett Jnr is the single most over-rated player in the competition. A total of 9 career votes from 4 seasons for someone who is always discussed in All-Aust circles.

At best he is a good AFL footballer.

Better than any player on Collingwood's list.

Your comment once again prooves that you are single handedly the biggest tossa on the Bigfooty forum.

You wish Collingwood had a player of his quality.

Keep up the great comments.

How can a full back get 30 disposals, and 12 marks and not get 3 votes. I couldnt believe it. 30 touches for a full back must be a record yet he didnt get 3 votes. Umpires arent the sharpest tools in the shed.

And the 3 votes this year was against quality opposition as well ... I think the game was against the wooden spooners ?
Oi knobhead, go and show me when Geelong supporters have claimed that Ablett is the best player in the AFL, or even that he is one of the best. Yes, he has freakish ability, yes, he may turn into an AFL superstar, no, he is not already one, no, we do not claim him to be one.
Get a clue, or better still, shut up.

Setting aside the ridiculous comments about Gazza being overrated, I would say that one of the reasons he doesn’t poll is that he’s a whinger. Rightly or wrongly, after many contests he is whinging to the umpire that he or one of his team mates should have received a free kick. It’s a bad habit and one I hope he shakes over the summer.

My old man pointed that out to me a while back, so I looked closer, and he is absolutely shocking. Definetly needs to fix that up.

More odd voting from the umps

Steve Johnson get 3 votes against North [Rd9].He wasn't even in our best 5 or 6 players.
How can so many of us Geelong supporters be so wrong ?

Votes v North

Oh well,at least Dog got one more vote in that game than he got on Cats Claw.

So by your rationale polling Brownlow votes is the sole criteria for excellence apparently? I guess you think that Gordon Coventry was a dud eh? Peter McKenna? Peter Daicos? Bob Rose? Total Brownlow medals - nil. Great footballers - absolutely every one of them.

Fascinating post, in that every Geelong supporter (and opposition) I know regard Ablett as a talented young player, nothing more. Can become a superstar but isn't yet.

By the way, that sound you make when you walk is your knuckles dragging on the ground.
