Did what we had to.

Got the 4 points and no real injuires

Back into Top4 and held our %.

Jezza got 5 and prob 2 fingers on the Coleman.

Demspey, Holmes, Close, Mannagh, Humphries, COS good for a half. Blitz too.

Tom Atkins mentioned alone - he alone went all game long.

Zuth, J Henry good. Stewy mostly but subbed off.

Lots of work still to be done.

SDK rough on the first game back.

Stanley not much

Lots to work on if we are serious - but we got it done and on to next week.

Some really great performances from some players and some absolute drek from others.

Defensively at times if it wasn't for Stewart, JHenry and ZGuthrie it would have gotten ugly.

O'Connor in the first half ball watched, Mullin often man watches in defence, and SDK was off the boil a bit.

I missed the Stewart injury, anything serious?
he did it when you were screaming about the team being diabolical and not going anywhere lol

Got a knock to both knees and ice on the left one. Nothing serious per KROCK

The total lack of time and respect put into Wanganeen Millera was absolute arrogance.

He was the one bloke who could cut us open and they allowed him to run around on his own all day.

SDK couldn't jump and was soft all day.

Holmes and Smith are off from their early season best.

The only positive was the 4 points

Important four points but we can’t win the flag with the back six playing like this. Specifically Stewart and De Koning.

Maybe you can say Stewart is hampered by his knee but regardless we can’t win the flag with his output at this level and De Koning having no defensive impact.

I have been hard on Tom Atkins over the journey but he is in great nick and was sensational today. 17 tackles to get the season record with five H&A games to go. Bravo.

Take the points and run, wasn’t a great game but winning is the important thing here.

The umpires were disgraceful, it’s either gross incompetence or corruption I’m happy for them to claim whichever of those two they want. Either is a disgrace.

Fair few concerns, though happy to get through such a game without much an injury. I think Stewart was taken off due to being up by nearly 40.

My concerns are the softness of our half forwards at times. Miers got a lot of it, but some of his squib efforts were abysmal.

Close same as above.

Holmes. Dude when you’re average, you are really average. Got a bit of it but as a sign of how we went today, didn’t really do much with it. Couple of really poor decisions from him today.

What I really liked, thought Martin was great early on. Played taller than he is and really presented well. Went out of the game once Stengle started to take some game from him.

Axe was significant in the harder second and beginning of the third when the game was hot and were needed someone to stand up. Thought he was one of our best today.

Dempsey was fairly good the entire game. Thought his little touches were beneficial. Likely best on ground for mine.

All you have to do is win, no matter how uninspiring. View from the four a bonus.
Maybe need to clean up the skills and fumbles. Atkins luv ya guts.
Some woeful umpiring, non decisions incredible, so STK won't be learning much if they continue to get away with HTB.
Glad to have this draw of games to run Stewart and SDK back into real touch.

Other than having a new name, there's no obvious issue when he's made it down to the rooms

Not a particularly impressive game.

Atkins......what a hard nut.

Best game for us to date by Martin.

Collectively we have a bit to do. Our ball skills, decision making and goal kicking are off the boil.

Our work rate is a concern at times too. We can't afford those lapses going into finals.

We should be grateful we can make winning so regulation I guess. But that was not one to seek out the replay of.

Some nice positional switches, happy with Mullin and Martin’s game.
Martin in particular has all the hallmarks of a player you can move position in a final to make a difference.

Stewart's struggle with injury has put an onus on the others to lift to cover him.

It's not happening, and SDK is invisible.

Not sure what they do with him.

SDK is so far out of touch you won't find his DNA on the ball.

St Kilda under Ross Lyon are always a tricky proposition, this afternoon we put paid to any of their nonsense by getting out to a handy lead early on and forcing them to put goals on the board, which is not their strong suit.

St Kilda made a game of it to their credit, but we were good enough to respond each and every time we were challenged.

Lyon pulled one of his usual levers by ensuring Mitch Owens matched-up on Tom Stewart, with mixed results, however the Saints declined to send Windhager to Max Holmes, and Holmes was every bit as damaging as Wanganeen-Milera.

The club may have heard my pleas after last week's pantsing, in that they deployed Dangerfield in the centre square at the start of the last 3 quarters - and he duly chipped in with some handy clearances in all 3 stanzas.
As usual Danger's goalkicking left something to be desired; I was yelling at the screen for him to J-Curve that shot directly in front that he all-too-predictably missed in the 2nd - good to see him experiment (successfully) with the snap-set-shot later in the game.

Jack Martin has now produced a strong block of work with the club and he has edged ahead of a player like Jack Bowes in the pecking order. Really good today, tougher than I thought he was, stronger overhead, too.

Love myself a highly-efficient Jeremy Cameron game.
5.1, some good defensive pressure here and there, and put his head over the ball when he had to. Solid.

Lawson Humphries was stationed on the wing for much of today and did really well, 15 disposals doesn't look like much on paper but he was so assured and clever. 28 AFL games. Unbelievable.

Handy win, we could have dropped this game through complacency if we're not fair dinkum but we didn't and we are.

Seems to me that SDK heavily relies on confidence. That first touch, if it doesn’t go his way drops his bundle for the entire game.

His marking was atrocious today. Dropped a few he should have taken.
