IT was grim there for a minute... or more like a 1/2...

But we got going finally and made it happen.

Good to get the 4 points and North gave us a real shake.

A few maligned players had good games... Close, Mannagh and O Henry specifically had good ones.

Jezza and my boy got on the board.. so did 10 others...

Cos will be a maybe our best defender ever.... hes 20 right now and just a special player....

Mullin MOC also good...

edwards brave but needs a rest.... did his best though...

Baz got tagged.... Holmes was BOG.

CS gets 250 wins as coach.

Take the 4 points but we hacve things to fix.

I was critical of Worpel but he was good in last Q

Max Holmes was the reason we got well and truly back into the game. What a star!

As others have posted - play Holmes on the ball . and play Mannagh close to the goals - thats where he is dangerous

Edwards fitness I thought would be a struggle but he just keeps fronting up.

Umpires both ways could’ve been the worst umpiring I’ve seen in years.

Bagged O.Henry and Close pre game but they really played well, even when the rest of the team was going poorly, well done to both of them. Edwards was well beaten but he was up against one of the best, power difference was ridicules but he still did some good things. The scores suggest an easy victory but we have some serious issues to work on.

Did he slip and then lose his boot or just randomly lose his boot and slip over that?

I think because he was already a gun, Holmes' improvement this year has been undersold a little. He now sits with the premier mids of the game I reckon - think Bont, Daicos, Butters etc.

Scott sticking with Close over Clark or Wiltshire as a small forward may just work out. I think it's time to stop managing Bradley if he's "fully conditioned" now.

Plenty of intercepts and pressuring efforts, moved well and used the ball nicely. Deserved that 3rd quarter shot to go through for a goal.

Good to see Henry getting to the right spots more often. I haut he does provide X Factor.

Speaking of O. Henry, some of his gathers and handballs in traffic were kinda elite. Makes you wonder if he has a future playing further up the ground?

Good to get back on the winners list. 2nd and 3rd were hard going. Lot of irritating misplaced disposals. Things to work on but premierships aren’t won in May!

Good to see a change of luck & fortune from some of those whose form has been a little hit & miss across the season to date

Close was back to chasing, scrapping for the ball and getting some grass stains on his kit

Dempsey was putting pressure on the opposition rather than just standing back

Ollie Henry showed that he has some pace and willingness to run down the opposition, and not just try sitting on their shoulders

It wasn't a flawless game from him, but Guthrie took a big step in the right direction and looked a lot more composed down back

And while we've seen SDK play some solid games in defence this season, today he took that confidence with him as he played further up the ground


I know he's not everyone's favourite, but Worpel may go close to goal of the day with his effort that thread the needle in the last

Odd sort of game. Many hearts in mouth there just after half time, some trepidation then..all she wrote!
Still don't know where this team really is, but happy to enjoy the ride.

I think its time to relieve Stewart of the kicking in duties. Not sure what has happened to his kicking this year, but it has been rank.

I swear there was a period last year or the year before when Humpries was taking them and was awesome at it.
