In defence of Mannagh : Q4 freeze
He got a handball from Jezza expecting a 1-2 run past
Jezza got tackled after disposal...
was livid he didn't get a free kick

Also, like the forwards taking their chances at goal
There is very little time to evaluate and dispose
This make all the forwards dangerous around goals
Opponents can't plan to stop a star forward only
This makes sense. I only watched on the tv and was like WTF.
You have made total sense of the situation.

Lawson Humphries is a ridiculously good decision maker which you truly appreciate when watching him live at the ground. Not lightning quick, not particularly tall, but his agility and ability to read the play puts him in most contests. Glad he's enjoying his time with the Cats because he looks like a ten year player at the moment.
Plays well as a running HB but also pretty good in the shut down role which adds to his currency.
Hope we can keep him in the hoops

Have been critical of our forwards this year. In particular Stengle, Neale and Henry.
But I must say given there was Battle, Barrass and Weddle in their defence I can't fault the endeavour of Neale today.

Presented down the line, took some marks at key times and had the competitive drive of a cats player for the intercept that led to the sealer from Mannagh. You can have a slow day on the scoreboard but you need to still impact the game and he did that.

As for Ollie, he needs to learn quick how to get involved now that Danger is taking his role and his space.
Another non-competitive performance from him and if he were to be dropped on Thursday I wouldn't argue with the decision. He's not immune from a stint at the Bankers.

Who was saying the players don't like Baz, bar Holmes.

Nonsense.

Absolute trash from the people who had no clue and were speaking out of their asses.
Baz is loved, especially after he stuck up for Danger.

The passage of play late in the game that led to Mannagh kicking the sealer. Watch Neale’s contribution there and you’ll get a good idea of why he doesn’t need to take 10 marks and kick 5 goals to have an impact.

Not sure if you're on FB, but on one of the supporter pages I did see someone credit Henry with the tackle to knock the ball out for our last goal 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Never mind that Henry was cooling down on the bench by then

I think we underestimate that he is tough too. Loves a bump and contact, and will stand in front of a pack. Maybe one of our wingman should take a lead from his book.

Let's hope Conway gets fit really fast and we don't get to see it..
I'm thinking we'll see Stanley managed within the next 3 weeks which will see a shift in our set-ups

Especially when we start integrating J. Henry & Kolodjashnij back into the mix

So Blues next week...

In: Mullin, Kolodjashnij
Out: Miers (inj), Stanley (managed)

Clohesy full game. Knevitt sub.
Is this the week to rest Stanley against a red hot De Koning?

Cooling down??

Can only assume that means he had a fever.

You cool down after exercise don't you?

And I'm thinking what Henry did today counts as exercise - or not quite 🤷‍♀️

Either way, he definitely wasn't involved in that pressure passage up forward

Is this the week to rest Stanley against a red hot De Koning?

6-day break to a game against Tom De Koning

Another 6 day break to a game against Darcy Cameron and a red hot Collingwood midfield

Stanley was showing signs of tiredness by 3/4 time today, and while he still had the most ruck contests for us in the last, Blicavs stepped in to cover a large number after not rucking all day

That being the case, can Rhys back up off 2 x 6 day breaks or do we look to manage him for one match over the next fortnight?

Such a nerve wracking game. We are so lucky to have Danger leading the team following on from Joel.
I have been a supporter of Ollie Henry but like Art Vandelay_ I won’t complain if he is dropped this week. I will feel a little sad and hope the coaches are working on strategies to get him back up to scratch.
