Review Cats keep the streak on Crows at KP by 8 points

Don’t know if anyone mentioned it but expected scores had us winning by 50+ points. While that is subjective, definitely adds to the feeling that we blew so many scoring chances and the final margin didn’t reflect our dominance.
Think it referenced Geelong having 37 kicks that were aimed at scoring, we kicked 9.14 but going by that calculation 13 more attempts that either went out of bounds or didn't score. We had quite a few snaps from within 15m that just slewed off the boot or were touched/intercepted due to not enough purchase on the kick. That may be why it seemed such a surprising figure. Whereas about every kicked aimed at the goals for the Crows scored, and then you get that 55m miracle bomb which was their last goal, and even a similarly long kick by Thilthorpe, who is at least a recognised big kick of the ball which Mullin got a touch to.

Yes that win means Geelongs have beaten Ade 6 in a row , of course the Cats have also beaten West Coast 6 times in a row , bowl over the Hawks on Easter Monday , and it also 6 in a row against Haw

Against hapless Essendon it currently sits at 9 times in a row , and hapless Nth Melb , its a bakers dozen plus 1 , translated that is 14 times in a row, currently that is the highest current winning streak as it sits at present

A point of difference on Clark is that I do not think we have had a small as competitive in the air as he is since Chapman.
Agree, but he probably attempts a few too many overheads in pack situations as opposed to mopping up the spillage. Chappy was a little better with positioning and more canny about when he went for it.

Good change.
The reality here is that there never actually had to be a change. Just needed the umps to properly adjudicate the existing rule around insufficient intent.

Anyway, however we got here, it's certainly the right way to deal with these situations in the future. In the midst of being 'robbed' on Thursday night, the Craas still managed to get away with a couple of absolute howlers as they deliberately nudged the ball out of play.

I think I've got this right:

Smith - 5, 4
Rachele - 3, 3
Mannagh - 5, 0
Holmes - 4, 0
Stewart - 2, 0
SDK - 2, 0
Miers - 1, 0
Mullin - 1, 0

Lots of disagreement besides Smith and Rachele.

I wonder which coach really liked Holmes game, then which one liked Mannagh's - with no love from the opposite coach.

I'll go with:

Scott

5. Mannagh
4. Smith
3. Rachele
2. SDK
1. Miers

Nicks

5. Smith
4. Holmes
3. Rachele
2. Stewart
1. Mullin

and just quietly, Jyhe Clark the highest rated player on the ground for the entire last 1/4...

when the whips were cracking he turned it on.... oh and he was 100% MF time....

I want to see flashes... hell of a flash.

Long way to go with him.... but its in there and he helped swing that game for us.

Go Catters

Insane that one of them shunned Mannagh. Need an eye transplant.

I mean, SDK literally said "Bucks has been really good for me", in an interview on the night, so it might not be such a wild suggestion.

I heard somewhere that SDK basically revered Joel Selwood and was at a bit of a loose end when Selwood retired, which may have contributed to his dip in form. Maybe Buckley is taking up a bit of that role now.

He was massive. Absolutely everywhere

Literally the only possible solution.

I have zero idea, FWIW, how anyone could have watched that game and not seen Baz as being a clear BoG.
