Think it referenced Geelong having 37 kicks that were aimed at scoring, we kicked 9.14 but going by that calculation 13 more attempts that either went out of bounds or didn't score. We had quite a few snaps from within 15m that just slewed off the boot or were touched/intercepted due to not enough purchase on the kick. That may be why it seemed such a surprising figure. Whereas about every kicked aimed at the goals for the Crows scored, and then you get that 55m miracle bomb which was their last goal, and even a similarly long kick by Thilthorpe, who is at least a recognised big kick of the ball which Mullin got a touch to.Don’t know if anyone mentioned it but expected scores had us winning by 50+ points. While that is subjective, definitely adds to the feeling that we blew so many scoring chances and the final margin didn’t reflect our dominance.
