One of my favourite kicks is late in the 2009 Grand Final. Cats lead by six points.

Max flies at half forward for a contested mark. Recovers best, gathers the ball and sends a scrubbish kick centring inside fifty. Ball pings back out towards Max surrounded by three Saints. Boots it forwards again and it rebounds off a Saint back towards the goals about 20m out. Once again, and for his fourth effort, Max soccers the ball towards the goals and it rolls through for a behind.

A very handy point.

YES thankyou. Been driving me mad all day. Great player, could not kick.

EDIT: "Great player, could not kick" = probably mutually exclusive. But you know what I mean?
haha sure do Allrighty; he was the kinda player who made you despair because he was an exceptional contested mark, but just couldn't finish off his often brave aerial work ..

corridor footy was a Geelong trademark since the Bomber Thompson era, high risk footy for greater reward, so it's no surprise their skills are first rate and it's demanded from every new recruit who walks into Kardin....I mean Simonds Stadium :thumbsu:
