Dominated on scores from stoppages.

Won the clearance, inside 50 and mark inside 50 count comfortably. Were all over them for large periods.

But we were absolutely torched on scores from turnovers, made so many fundamental errors and were shocking in front of goal. Our depleted defence was shredded to pieces.

Hogan the difference in the end (22 disposals and 7 goals - GAS areas). Aish, Taylor and Whitfield off half back too.

I feel like we are good enough to be competitive every single week... but not good enough to win the flag or get it done in a finals series.

Every game we have lost we could have got up in... but I still hardly rate us.

But we need to bank the wins as this is a Bradbury year like last year was and some incredibly average team like Brisbane or Collingwood will get there if we don't. Blicavs, Holmes and Smith were 3 of the players keeping us in the game. We absolutely dominated scores from stoppages but they destroyed us from turnovers.

Smith was brilliant all day. We would be in a world of hurt if not for his influence in midfield. A consistent gut running machine.
Holmes pathetic in the third quarter when it was there to be won.

I think we can comfortably say having 4/6 best defenders missing would have probably made the result swing a kick..

The Miers and Blicavs ones at the death especially. Two basic skills executed and we win by a goal.

Stengle and mamnagh were both very good today but they are paid to kick those in the last 5mins and failed.
Blicavs butchered an even worse miss. We should have won that game.

Can't afford that many more games like that if we want to be in finals as soft as our draw is later in the year.

Ruck is a massive issue that we can't solve and the defence is awfully undermanned and I worry about AO next week (as useless as Ken is). We are carrying a few passengers but we can't do much until the injury list is shorter. Need Stewart and Henry back asap
