Heading over to Melbourne this weekend for a footy trip and we're going along to Caulfield.

Just wondering if anyone's got anything that they're pretty keen on for the big race or any other races for the day???

And Dj_******* please don't give me any tips because you're FOS.

Cheers in advance

Steady

I've been following Court Command since he won at Wyong earlier in the year (I put him in my fantasy stable before he'd even ran, how smart was that :D), so I'll stick with him. Will bowl along and kick, the only concern is it's his first try around the opposite way and his first try at a mile (whereas good horses like Mearas have tried 1600m and 2000m).

This is exactly right.

IF! She is ran right this time, she should waltz home.....but who knows. Hopefully her odds are bumped up a bit from $1.60 and DJ ryan can get a bit more out of her this time :D

I don't think so. Churchill Downs is in it. I stopped by the TAB on the way home and Court Command was evens at fixed price....so if you like something else you should get decent odds.

Of course we're not sure that Court Command will see out the 1600m, because he hasn't run it before. But he's a type that bowls along out in front, looks like he'll get 2000m at least to me.

Commands could get a mile (3rd in the Toorak) and so could his dam, too.

my favourite day of the year at the races...three group ones, two group twos, a group three and a couple of crap races thrown in for good measure! a great preview for the rest of the spring carnival.

Probably have to get on Zipping in the Winning Edge if they run it.

The only time I recall Commands running in a race over 2000 (2040) was the Cox Plate.
Think it enjoys the Pokies, quite entertaining watching it head out towards the Tabaret.

I know Commands couldn't get 2000m but Court Command is the type of horse that I think can get it pretty well. He goes to the front and switches off when he's asked to.

Stranger things have happened in breeding lines.

Court Command and El Segundo are morals. You'd be lucky to get $3.50-$4 on this double though. Oh well.... chuck a pineapple on it and that takes care of your drinks money...
