CAX1 v Windies Tour Game.

I had Sinclair instead of Greaves in my guess of the XI when the squad was announced but the fact he batted 9 in this match and hasn't bowled whereas Greaves made runs and has bowled suggests they're probably preferring Greaves?
I think you are probably right. Greaves and Hodge should end up playing

I think with Athanaze as an offie at 4 means a third spinner isn't as needed

That is some crash by the Australian 11 ,8/60 odd.
It's a good thing tbh. Last thing we'd have wanted to see really was our test rivals for the upcoming matches capitulate and lose handily to this backup edition of the CAXI.

It's good they showed they can skittle a second (third?) rate batting lineup.

Massive overreaction I feel.

People are forgetting that this decision is largely based around trying to fit Cameron Green into the side. A guy who’s shield performances are more impressive than Bancroft’s.

I also find the anti-WA bias laughable as well, when you remember that one change has been made to the 11 and the player coming in is from where?
Green at 4 also means if Marsh loses form, or gets injured, there will be a spot for Hardie, who is also West Australian.

Hodge has looked pretty decent since being dropped on back to back balls. Didn't look like scoring a run, then after that over he's looked well set and played some good shots.

I've liked Da Silva since before their last tour, though he hasn't kicked on with his career as I thought he might. He's still young enough and I could see him being a senior figure in the team down the line.

Attack of Roach, Joseph, Joseph and Motie with Greaves as the all-rounder seems the likely option.

He’s got the tools. No doubt about that whatsoever and he seems a bit of a confidence player.
Hodge has been really good since that early period.

Haskett definitely has good potential
Only multi wicket taker for CA. Yeh the big lefty has impressed me from his first day in Shield. Has something special, looks a cricketer. I think he will become a specialist seamer, does he also swing the pill as always a good thing to have two weapons in your armory.

nice 100 by the wicket keeper but not sure you can have to much success batting like that v the aussie attack, playing on the up

This may rile those Blue Cap haters on BF.

Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Starc are now the most prolific bowling quartet in Test history by reaching 428 wickets from a combined 26 Tests. Just call em crickets 'awesome foursome' and our most successful bowling cartel in the modern era. But not the best, as any attack with McGrath and Warne holds that mantle.

Ward falling to spin again, risky slog sweeping. 88 runs for the match for the Tassie lefty. Wyllie again cheaply. So much natural talent yet can not get an innings underway to show that talent. A season back in the hard slog of Premier may be what he needs.
