Great knock by Kohli but 'greatest ever ODI Innings' may be getting a little ahead of ourselves. I can think of many better then this.

Ricky Ponting's 140* in the 2003 World Cup Final rings a bell.

Kohli's was the best ODI innings I have ever seen played, by some distance too! Absolutley brilliant and dominant.

His cover drive off Malinga (in the over he hit 24 runs off) was the perfect shot.

Easily the most talented young batsman in the world.
Has got some talent, hopefully he can harness it and become part of a rejuvenated next generation India side in the future :thumbsu:.

One of the best ODI innings, however maybe not the best overall.

what pisses me off is that they took this long to show some heart and actually look like they want to win. they've 'turned up' for 2 and half days in the Melbourne test, and 3-4 games in the ODI's. Just imagine how good the summer would have been if they were this good every ****in day.

Yep can only dream of what might have been, had they been more competitive throughout the summer.

Punters 140, Gilchrists WX final innings, Richards 189, Anwer 194, Sehwag 219, Bevans last ball 4, Bevans 102 v NZ. The list goes on, just off the top of my head.

The one where Watson went mental, can't remember his score but it was unreal. Hayden 180ish against NZ where he broke his foot and could only hit boundaries

Great innings, but put in the context of the match (low total, low stakes), not as impressive as what we saw the other night.
:thumbsu: when you add the context involved with tuesday's game it makes Kohli's knock seem so much better, definately one of the best Innings that I've seen on TV.
