Clarke might come in for Warner. Warner's done ok at times, although up and down, but there's no-one else to leave out. Watson's found form and Christian's done his job with both bat and ball and provides a strong option with both.

Warner unsure of his role...just go out and hit or play himself in an build an innings. Gets himself into trouble being caught in those two minds. Just needs to ask himself what Gilly would do and do the same...........smack it. While Gilly made his share of low scores opening he made many big ones, including huge scores
Yes, Warner could go. But there are a few options. Despite having a good tournament, Forrest may be the one to go, I reckon. He is the most similar player to Clarke.

Mckay is way overdue to be given the heave-ho as well. He is just not up to it at this level with only one string to his bow and not being anywhere near good enough at it. I'm not sure how long it is going to take the selectors to figure out the obvious, though.

And what a great team to watch Sri Lanka is. The passion, pride and skill they put into their cricket is a joy to behold.

10 wickets at 22 (was 19 before tonight) suggests he is good enough at it.

Great win Sri Lanka, they deserved to be in the finals ahead of India and it should make for a more competitive final series, in fact Sri Lanka should go in as favourites having beaten Australia a few times.

Will be interesting to see what changes Australia make and who they leave out. Got a feeling it will be Forrest making way for Clarke even though it probably should be Warner who has been the worst performed batsman in this series. Can't see the selectors dropping their poster boy though. I'm also assuming Lee will come back in for the finals even though his form isn't anything to write home about.

Well so far in his ODI career, that's a pretty ****en effective string.

The so called Australian supporters who were backing Sir Lanka to win tonight just to spite India are beyond pathetic.
I'm glad that India are going home. Been pathetic all summer and just sooked and complained this whole one day series. Good riddance.

While I'd never support another team other than Australia, I'm not unhappy that those whiny Indian ***** are going home. Go score your 100th 100 somewhere else (or better still retire, but we know he won't do that).

2/3 right so far. aussies are pathetic, should've easily got 240 last night. will probably lose the final as well.

how did chandimal get motm? surely christian should've got it with 5 wickets and a hat trick

Pleased that Sri Lanka won, the finals part of the triangular series should now be more competitive than just a simple Australian walk over it would have been had India gone through.

It was fantastic to see the Sri Lanka supporters celebrating the victory, i was too :D :thumbsu:.

Australia didn't win, why would Christian get motm?

what is with the McKay hate?

The guy has had a great series and a very good ODI career from limited opportunities.

Should be an instant selection in the ODI side.

Because he's an allrounder. The expectations are that he succeeds with both ball and bat. I guarantee you that if Hilfenhaus had bowled the same spell as Christian and picked up the same figures, he would've gotten motm.

Could be Warner or Forrest. Forrest has been damn good while Warner has been good in patches only. Once Warner works himself out he'll be a really good ODI opener.

McKay, while not as great the last couple of times, has been good and would be stiff to go. Someone will go for Lee to come back though and I'm tipping it won't be Pattinson. That leaves Hilfenhaus or McKay and unfortunately for McKay I'm thinking he'll be the 12th man. We actually have a strong side. So too do Sri Lanka though.

What if some of us are fans of cricket in general and wanted to see an Aus v SL final, which on the basis of past matches, would be a great game?
If you’re just a fan of cricket in general and never consider yourself an Australian supporter then my post clearly wasn’t aimed at you.

And as the poster above pointed out, its pretty irrelevant if I follow an AFL club or if I do who it happens to be in this part of the forum.
